They do, it’s called cherry blossom red. On all STi’s. Well, i do believe that you can buy one without.
Because SPORTY (tm) sells to all the emasculated kept men out there who aren't allowed to buy anything fun because their little crotchfruit need room for lacrosse gear while their high maintenance wife drives either a sedan and won't get anything else because it's "cute", or has some other beigemobile penalty box because they "need the ground clearance so they can see" and insist that their little snot-nosed darlings have a "safe car" to ride in instead of anything interesting.
Heard another Subaru reference on 93x this morning. They're playing a best of about what they'd change in the White House if they became president. Somebody texted in saying they'd turn the entire first floor into a shop where they can work on their 700 hp Subaru. Clearly lying... Haha.
Saw this again a few days ago. Parked in the same place. As I was walking in I passed a couple walking out...older dude (and I can say that as I am old) with silver hair, thin, and the woman was good looking for the mileage, not same vintage as him, but not 24 either. I turned to watch them get in the RA. He opened the passenger door for her. It was nice to see they weren't getting into a Buick.
Confirm. This happens to be the target demographic for legacy gt's as well. Especially for those who prefer wagons.
Spotted some numbskull driving with his stock Dunlops on the drive home from work today. Oh wait, that was me. I am the idiot. 17/10 would not recommend. Shout-out to the tire shops for not getting me in until tomorrow at 5pm. Also shout-out to Firestone for doubling their price for a tire swap... WTH.
shout-out to you for waiting until the absolute last possible second to swap tires, then blaming the tire shops for it when they're busy with everyone else having the same great timing as you.
Depends, are we talking swap one set of wheels and tires for another? Or swapping one set of tires to another with only one set of wheels? I am an enthusiass, but not enough for the latter.
The way it reads is he needs winter tires, not that he's putting winter wheels and tires he already owns on the car.
I tried swapping tires on wheels for one winter season...pi$$ing money down the drain on mounting and balancing twice a year made my wallet hurt.
Yeah I'm blaming myself for waiting. However I did have an appointment early last week and Firestone cancelled on me. Twice. So I made another appointment with tires plus and tomorrow was the earliest they could do it. Just glad I don't have to wait until next week. Ya I know I waited too long. I only have one set of wheels but have summer and winter tires. Meant to try to get my hands on a set of new wheels for my summers but ran out of time. I have the ugly 2015 wrx wheels so eventually I plan to use those as my full time winter wheels. Still new at this summer/winter tire thing - only my second winter with the car. Don't exactly have the cash to burn on some nice wheels, but hopefully this is my last tire swap.
I made my appt last week at discount for Wednesday this week, which was the earliest spot they had not in the middle of the work day- and Tuesday was enough of a slide fest for me. I mostly hate sitting at the shop for an hour, especially now that its an hour lost of RDR2 time. More on topic, 06ish? WRB WRX wagon in Lakeville the other night, Tuesday maybe? only one mudflap in the back.
For anyone where this is the case (new winter tires), PSA time... do it earlier in the year next time. Preferably when it's still warmish and dry. It's in your best interest to burn off the mold release compound while breaking in new tires. Kinda tough to do if they immediately see snowy roads. I ordered mine back in May I think. The guy told me several times on the phone that they shouldn't be used until it's below 40°. I said yeah, I'm just trying to be prepared...
I would blame you for trying to go to Tires Plus. I would be surprised if you went in for tires and came out with $1800 of non essential other fixes that they "recommend" would be a good idea. Tire swapping sucks, any place will kill you on TPMS as well. Discount Tire has always been good to me, but as it gets into peak season the price goes up everywhere.
Spotted a sweet '04 or '06 and exchanged waves in my parking lot around lunch today, and on the drive home yesterday saw a fellow MN subaru owner, exchanged waves. Nice to see the AWDs out and about!
Spotted a couple times now, both on Hwy. 169 Northbound in Champlin around 7:00pm, just south of the Anoka bridge (approaching stop light at Dayton Road). Most recently last night (Tuesday, 11/27) YOU: Green legacy (or outback?) wagon, aftermarket HIDs, red mudflaps, nice subie rumble, continuing North towards Anoka. ME: silver hawkeye wagon, MNSubaru decal on my hatch. Turning left onto Dayton Road. - James
There was a black 15+ WRX that came into work today for a job interview. Hope he gets the job, we need another Subie around work!
I believe @SurlyOldManMN is in the drive though line with me as we speak at Caribou Coffee in Little Canada..
Was coming back from meeting a friend in New Brighton and saw a really nice looking white STI (probably a blobeye) parked on the driveway and it had a gold swoosh sticker on the rear door window. Looked very nice! Saw a red Impreza sedan parked on the drive next to it, but wasn't sure if it was a WRX or not.
Rolled with a newer 15+ WRX on 169 today going into Champlin. Saw a new MN Subaru badge in his window. Exchanged deuces.
Man, I have noticed a lot of subie owners refusing to look over at me. I feel insulted...should I feel insulted?
They're probably too busy texting. That's what I see the most these days. Damn kids! (old guy rant over)
Interesting input. I'll keep trying, there has to be sometime that they take a break from the vape pipe and social media.
