Do you like food? Do you like to drive Subaru's? If your answer to either of the above is "no", GTFO. In lieu of the now defunct Friday meets and the challenge of drumming up attendance to a second weekly without having the draw of Friday night University Ave shenanigans, I'm starting a monthly "Drive n' Dine" event with a short cruise to or from a destination restaurant. The Friday meets at Firestone on University Ave are back! I'm still going to keep this running, the rest of this post still applies... The intention is a relaxed event where people can enjoy an afternoon trying out the best local favorite eateries while shamelessly ribbing other Subaru enthusiasts. This will take place on the second Sunday of every month. I'm choosing Sunday's because I like bloody mary's and the best bloody mary bars are to be had on Sunday morning/afternoon. Well, that and it lends itself to low-key events and light traffic for a cruise before or after. I'll be there even if it's just me because cheeseburger. I don't expect a huge turnout for the first couple events at least. Let me know if you're interested just the same so I have an idea if I should be making reservations. Also... it won't be burgers every time. We just happen to have an abundance of good burger joints around here. I'm thinking we'll do "themes" that last for a few months and then switch it up. Great idea! I'd love to go to these, but my schedule just changed from being off every Sunday to working every Sunday. And it's a 13 hour shift . Talk about bad timing for me.

I'd show up to add some diversity if I didn't work Sundays. That may change in the future, we'll see.
I have been doing this with a few friends as a weekly "Sunday ritual" for about 2 months now. Today coincidentally LIONS TAP was the location of choice . = for not suggesting it to MNSubaru... +1 for SurlyOldManMN.
