i have my stockers if you want'em. There isn't an appreciable difference in ride height between my car and the OBS (0.2") EDIT: forgot about being the tleg. Dunno if they would fit. Will bring a front and rear by tonight.
^I hope I have mine figured out! I will be coming down to take some photos. I am looking forward to getting a chance to use my DSLR again (Ice Race was the first real test). Urabusvids wil be riding down with me and he is bringing his video camera. if any spectators would like to spot for yus wit would be great or else we wil need to switch of between ourselves. 3-5 inches of snow should make this a lot of fun. Although the drive home might not be as fun (stupid people who cant drive in snow). I kind of wish it was going to be rain so there would be more mud a flyin'. see everyone tomorrow.
It just won't be a MN Rally Cross without the snow in March. I think it will be a ton of fun. Enjoy and be safe guys and gals.
awesome day! thanks carl and ryan! and everyone else who makes it possible! I had a blast and improved 12 sec threw out the day!. gotta love a muddy dirty car!
Well, after many buckets of warm water and $9 at the car wash my car is nice and clean again. I had fun today, but I would have preferred snow (it melts for free ) over the mud. The experience of driving on that surface was worth it though, very slick conditions. Thank to Carl and Ryan for running the event. I think it went well. And yes, pictures please.
You be patient. I'm going through every single damn photo and picking what to upload and what not to. I'll likely only upload a few hundred.
Yeah it was. Very fun, though. The first and second corners were sweet. Though i will admit to severely overcooking it during the last run group. cmspaz: teasers then! jeez...
I would've cleaned the headlights off and cleaned the windows and drove it for the week like that!! It gives it so much character!!!!
Haha, the course looks like a river in the background. I don't have anything uploaded yet. I'll get to it sometime tonight.
That's how I drove it home, just with the headlights and front windows cleaned. Once I got home I was persuaded to wash it.
Great event. Thanks Carl and Ryan. That was a fun event. Really slippery and very interesting in the new car. Give me a little time and I'll learn the car and I'll be quicker. Great job Amy on dethroning Mark for the day. You are really getting fast. Congrats.
agreed!! Big congrats to Amy for such great times and taking 1st place. Is this going to be a trend this year!? Dan, thanks for letting me have fun in the leggy. That car is so much fun to drive.
Fine, I'll give you guys teasers: COMING SOON Mark's crazy drift skillz: Forresters throwing mud: '08 STi??!! Pics that actually make Emily look fast! AND MORE!
I had a great time! The venue was great and so was everyone there! Thanks a bunch Carl, Ryan, and everyone else who had a play in putting this event on. Now that I have seen my first rally-x I will be very tempted to drive in the next one ;-) But then I wont get the chance to take as many pictures as I did today. The final count was just shy of 1400 pics. I have gone through about 50 of them so far and they are looking pretty good. I will slowly start posting them online as I go through them.
here is a preview of my shots. It appears that I have quite a few series of people taking out cones. I might have to make some gifs.
Since I see that someone has already started stealing my pics, I will just go make a thread, or add to one that is already there. Russ
Here are some of the pictures I took yesterday. Full gallery of pictures at http://www.digitalgopher.net/gallery/7548044_ZjLqf Later Jeremy
^Nice pics Jeremy! Also, thank you Carl and Ryan!! Had a blast as usual and i'm really looking forward to the rest of the season! ...even if my woman is going to kick my ass all year! lol.
Thanks Ryan, Carl, Mary and Carrie for a great event. If we can arrange for continued slippery conditions for the rest of the year, I may have the season locked up. As long as Derek stays out of M4 Great pics Jeremy. Thanks for coming down to shoot. Love the Legacy mud dive shot. Amy
also thanks to carrie and mary for doing timing, erik for doing tech, mark, brent, and kerry for acting as safety stewards, and dave for allowing us to use his land
It was a great event and I had fun watching it. Carl, Ryan and everybody else did a great job putting the event together. It was just too cold for me ... I had to leave before catching serious cold!
?!!?!? maybe you need to get a little more mud on your car! my wheels feel like they're going to fall off the car if i go over 50 and i can still smell the burning mud and grass coming from on top of the skidplate even *after* pressure-washing at one of those DIY carwashes. (at least i hope it's mud and grass... :hsugh thanks for a great event everyone!
Well if Sheen would stop running over cones, bushes, and tall grass it wouldn't be a problem. Are you sure you weren't instructing him? He could use the help.
Word... pot, meet kettle:biggrin: Yeah, I drove like ass Sunday. Sorry for making Boss look so slow Lexie! The upside was I got to test almost every possible dccd setting :naughty:
