    I have oiling problems because of the angle of my cheap ass ebay turbo, I'll probably rectify that this winter.

    Also true. I could have possibly shoehorned mine in the stockish location, but as it sits now, it's easy for me to change flanges for a larger turbo, and won't have to modify my pipe set a whole lot to fit a much larger snail in there. Also, a rotated mount makes your FMIC plumbing much easier, and uses much less piping. This is all granted that you build your own pipe set anyways.

    do me a favor tho... even tho it's a clean install.. take pictures... and post it in the Modifications/Maintenance/Technical section....

    we need more build pictures / how tos.
    and we REALLY should think about a "how-to" section.

    I'll post a more detailed build thread Ver. 2.0 when I get another shell. I'll be re-working almost everything, so its all going to be changed in some form or fashion. Since I've redone most of the stuff a few times already, I have a lot better idea of how to go about it and the associated tricks/shortcuts.

    Also, Chet, stop ****ing around with GT28XX turbos. VF39 or 16G is probably your best bet. I have a GT2871R sitting in my basement right now. You wont find one for less than 1,000. Same with the discopotato. It's alot of extra money for not alot of gain. Get a 16G and run an e85 map. You'll have massive spool that way.

    Exactly EJ20 = LAME you can make 300 wheel easy on a 20g why would you spend more money on a garret?

    KKK is German, used in just about every turbo Audi and VW you can shake a stick at. The 1.8T chaps like to swap to the K04. Apparently 230whp is a big deal for them :)

    OP: if you need help with the install, I did a VF39 on mine. I'd love to help in exchange for a bit o' beer.
