throttle cable question

Any one know if the throttle cable's are interchangeable from a 1999 2.5RS and a 2003 WRX? my cable from the 03 wrx is about to break and i have the one from the 99 swap, any help would be great.

 

it should work fine. might be a different length but it will work

 

The 2.5RS cable will be quite a bit shorter, but it works just fine.

 

yes much shorter, I was looking at that ill have to route it under the intake manifold to make it work. thanks for the help guys.

 

well found out the hard way, you are wrong the GC throttle cable has a circular plastic clip in and the WRX has a square clip in. Learn something new everyday.

 

On the pedal side?

 

my wrx cable works with my 2.5rs peddle?

 

yes pedal end, where the end of the cable clips into the plate that the pedal pivits on. square hole, 2.5 RS cable is round clip in.
