I would like to say sorry for today's downtime, but I am guessing that everyone's employers were happy with everyone's extra work. This is what I received from Linode. Hello, We have scheduled a maintenance window for the physical server where your Linode is hosted: Wednesday, May 8th, 2013 between 11:00AM UTC and 11:55AM UTC Downtime from this maintenance is expected to be no more than 45 minutes, however please note that the entire maintenance window may be required. Your Linode will be gracefully powered down and rebooted during the maintenance. Services not configured to start on a reboot will need to be manually started. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions concerning this maintenance window. Regards, Jason Followed by... Hello, This message is to let you know that we have canceled the scheduled maintenance for your Linode. Your Linode will not be subject to the planned downtime on Wednesday, May 8th. No action is required on your part at this time, however if you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. Regards, Dave So with that, I never posted anything about any possible downtime. Then that decided to do something anyways and for what ever random reason Apache did not restart. So I have everything back up and running again and hopefully there will be no surprise downtimes again. Russ
