It occurred to me that some here might not be aware of this.

ALL Subaru oil filters available right now are made by Tokyo Roki.

The H6 filter (part number ending in 031), early FB and BRZ FA filter (130), and direct-injected FA WRX filter (170) have always been, as they're imported in relatively small numbers.

For years, Honeywell has been making the 2 most common filters here in the US, the EJ filter (was 15208AA12A), and the most common FB filter (15208AA15A). These were the blue filters with Subaru lettering on them, and the above part numbers. Honeywell has not been able to keep up, and there were some interim blue filters, that had no branding on them, suspected to be ACDelco.

But now, they are importing Tokyo Roki ones again.

15208AA100 for the EJs, MSRP $9.05 (this went up, today).
15208AA20A for most FBs, MSRP $9.58

There are about 500,000 of each of these in the warehouses right now, with no mention of any upcoming change. But I would assume that at some point they will go back to a domestic manufacturer of them when they can.

Appreciate the post. Was curious about this when I bought a few a couple weeks back.

The 20A was superseded to a 21A this summer, and we've started seeing them. No visual difference that I can tell.

FYI, the 20A/21A are Tokyo Rokis, but they are made in Indonesia.

The 100s are made in Japan.

If you want a made in Japan Tokyo Roki filter for your FB/FA car, get the 170. As far as I can tell, they are just packaged shorter and fatter for hood clearance on the WRX, but otherwise the same specs.
