Toys for Tots Cruise DEC 21,2013

Hi All,

I just noticed no one has taken over the duties of setting up the Toys for Tots drop this year.

Jason has done it in past years, but he's crazy busy and hasn't been able to spent the time to plan this year. (Thanks for doing for so many years, Jason. I had loads of fun every time we did this.)

I called Kare 11, and they are booked up for TV appearances, so I found a spot to go drop off some toys. Wont be GLAMOROUS, but hey we can drop off some toys, get some food and maybe an adult beverage.

We will be meeting in the Cub parking lot at 11am on Saturday December 21. We will PROMPTLY leave at 11:30 am.

There are quite a few drop offs, and in lieu of wasting a bunch of time choosing I decided on;
Gabe's Rinkside Bar and Grill. 9250 Lincoln Street NE, Blaine, Minnesota, 55434
I spoke with the manager of Gabe's, and she is on board and welcoming us.

BONUS
I'll have a couple gallons of T-6 to raffle off, so you may even come away with some stuff!

Also, I will more than likely be going back to my house (by the starting point of this cruise) and doing some wrenching on my wife's car. All are welcomed

So, after 100+ views it seems no one but Derp and I want to do this cruise.

SO, with a heavy heart I'm going to cancel.

I thought more people would be into it, but maybe the timing was off.

I am probably still going to have some peeps over for some beers, bbq and some wrenching time.

I would come but its my brother's birthday. If you can rabble-rouse people to make it happen, let me know and I will supply you with some extra toys to donate.

 

Wish I had committed to this sooner, but work and personal life has been nutso. Maybe it's the combination of too short of notice and too close to Christmas. I've always liked going to this every year, and getting some grub and brews after sounds like an awesome idea. I'll hit you up about coming over tomorrow during the day.
