please help me out yesterday i blew my front diff or im pretty sure thats what happened care to offer an opinion? if i feather my car off the line normal driving it sounds like somethings skiping it dosnt happen all the time mostly around corners and like when i pull out of a parking spot and go to move foward its like the **** locks up and it i give it hard gas it will unlock this all happened yesterday and like a mile away from home i could smell the diff/tranny fluid smellin like it was about to catch fire and now i have a massive leak from some where i havnt botherd to find it (i have a stage 3 act pressure plate with stage 4, 6 puck disc) other then that no mods to the tranny problems. * tranny sounds like a brake resurfacing gringing * something is slipping when i go around corners * same slipping when i take my foot off the gas while its in gear *if i give it hard gas around a cornerit slips very bad when i feather it minor slips any ideas if you can even follow that
CV joint would be my guess.... or axle maybe... internet diagnosis... FTL.. get all f 4 wheels off the ground and see if all 4 turn when you let the clutch out in gear... it may be a universal joint or cv axle or any number of things... is it just in first?/ with a performance clutch on a stock transmission... you are bound for trouble
its threw all gears even reverse and while im off the throtle but in gear but does not do the hard clicking sounds like a gear is slipping
Sounds like a center diff to me. I have to ask. Why the extremely overkill clutch on a weak gearbox and motor?
I use to have a stage 3 disc and plate then that blew out i told modern performance to switch it back to stock and thats what i got they told me i couldnt switch it back for some reason any one know a GOOD subaru shop i can start going to instead. IDK no reason i guess i was played fyi im on my 4th clutch and im pretty sure the wear has to do with how they're installing i dont think the center the bell housing
How many miles are on your car, and what type of driving do you do that requires you to have such an aggressive clutch? You can always bring it into Morries Minnetonka and have us look at it.
