transmission install?

    are there any good, reliable shop around oakdale,mplwd,stp that wont charge a lot for a tranny install? i called this one place and they were asking too much. plus, if anybody wants to do the install, i'll pay them to do it too. lmk, thanks


    car is a 96 impreza auto awd

    oh yeah, i try three other places today, $450-$500 plus. to me, thats a lot.
    but i got 3 pm'd, hopefully it will all work out for me......:biggrin:

    Those auto trannies are as heavy as my 6spd!!!!

    They are actually quite a bit heavier. I had to weld some plate steel to my jack head so I could hold the damn thing in place.

    it is, i gotta asked my bro to help me lift this thing out of the truck bed, and im a pretty big guy too. :biggrin:

    tranny swap is easy. DIY!
    borrow the tools if you don't have them
    I'd help for a burrito and beer.

    naw, got it with no reverse, im just gonna replace it with another auto. gonna leave it as an auto, for now.....:eek:
