Trip to Bozeman, MT

Some pictures I took over a trip to Montana and yellow stone last month. 90 m/h drive for 14 hours is too much. I could not figure out why one picture is on the side, sorry about that.

 

What gas mileage did you see in the EJ25 5MT Forester @ 90mph?

To SD and back I had my FB25 4EAT Forester @ 85mph (and had a full load and two bikes on top) and I only got 14mpg!

Normally around town (with no bikes/passengers/luggage) at lower speeds I see 25+ mpg. The bikes/weight/higher speed really killed the mileage.

 

About 18-19mpg . It was too windy as well so that did not help.

 

It's same engine as your car FB not EJ.

 

What brought you to Bozeman? I am from about 15 miles west of there.

 

My girlfriend went to school to MSU in Bozeman so she wanted me to see her old town. Plus it was nice to go rafting and hiking

 

Oh, I thought yours was a 2010, not a 2011! My gas mileage definitely dropped when the speed went up.

 

I'm driving to Boise, ID over Labor Day weekend and we're going through Yellowstone as well. Not looking forward to the drive from here to the mountains! Very nice pictures.
