Not sure if I'm making it out. We'll see if my TB hose behaves with some hair spray.

Hairspray? I'm lucky if I can get my TB hoe's to behave even with the promise of new shoes and designer bags. #Pimpin' problems

We had a guy come in not too long ago with an 08' LGT with the OEM hose not properly lined and clamped causing it to slide from the TB, he tried spraying it too. But a couple new clamps did the trick, not sure if you're having the same issue.

I meant hairspray and a lighter. Details...

It's behaving for the moment with a new t-bolt clamp, a good cleaning and the hairspray. I'm pretty sure the angle on the coupler was ok. If it's off just a little bit I can tell when I go to bolt up the TMIC to the support brackets. It's also marked.

I'm nowhere near an expert when it comes to the mechanical aspect so take my advice with a grain of salt, but that pretty much sounds like the same issue we were having with the 08 that came in. The green dots from his OEM hose would seem to be lined up perfectly but just the slightest turn would set it off. Our guy working on it (I held the flashlight in between doing my own job) ended up just using an aftermarket hose after trying to get the OEM to fit for ovedr an hour, I remember the a/m one fit right on with the same clamps. Idk worth a shot if you continue having the problem, the a/m one was only like $14.

Yeah, I'm still going to be on the lookout for an aftermarket hose. Which did you use that was $14? AVO want's $60+ for theirs...

I'm pretty sure he ordered it through orielly. Keep in mind that was shop discount price, not sure what it would be retail. But I'll ask what brand he ordered.

Just gauging interest at this point, I'd still have to clear it with my fearless leader. But I work for a body shop that also specializes in mobile paint chip/scratch repair. Curious if anyone would be interested in having their car touched up on the spot at a Tuesday meet? Pricing would be anywhere from $65-$125 depending on what you've got going on.

That could work assuming there's no legal/other-ways-to-get-harrassed-about-it issues. We've talked about having PDR at our events before but the vendors and/or demand never line up. could be cool if you were looking to do just one or two "by appt" during a meet. Might have more nibbles with paint work than PDR.

I'm looking into if I'd need a permit or not. But figured I'd see if there was any interest before shelling out for it.

I unfortunately don't do PDR. I can fix a dent the conventional way mobiley, yes. Do I necessarily want to, no. Would anybody want to pay to have a dent fixed the conventional way in the middle of a parking lot, probably no again.

However, our mobile truck is set up with a paint mixing bank in the back. So I can make a sample pot per the paint code for your car. I can also mix custom paint. $40-$65 would cover everything from rock chips, scratches under 2", light buffing, etc, for the entire car. Scratches larger than 2", road/curb rash, gouges, a lot of buffing, etc may be a little more but I can do just about everything except a complete paint job, or replacing parts from the mobile truck.

I wouldn't really want to drag the truck out for less than 2-3 cars but if enough people want it done I'm happy to get ya taken care of and cleaned up before winter :).

Looks like we're continuing to have nice weather this week, so let's take advantage while we can! Who's in for tomorrow at Boom? I'd be willing to show up a bit earlier (6pmish) if people are interested in grilling.

They are exempt meaning they still have to work. They just work for no pay until a new budget is passed.,

Once the new budget passes they give you the pay you earned while the government was shut down. They basically give them IOU's till then.

Actually, since my type of orders are renewed every fiscal year, I'm out of work with no pay since there isn't anybody at the fed level to approve the funding. My orders can go through once the govt is back ip and running, but I'm s.o.l till then.

Current existing long term orders will operate in the way described above however.

I should be there semi-early this week. Is anyone actually interested in grilling? If so, I can grab brats and would ask that someone grabs buns. If not, I'm leaving the grill at home.

weather forecast right now says for a 90% chance of rain. I wouldnt mind hitting up a local bar around here if anyone wanted to join for a drink. Possible suggestions? I was thinking Barley John's Brewpub in new brighton, or the st anthony village pub in st anthony. let me know if anyone would be interested in case boom is going to be a rain out.

I'm open to suggestions. Those are just a couple local favorites. Like I mentioned in the post before that I am open to suggestions. This all depends on if it is raining around the time we would meet at boom. I could dig some Rusty Taco as well.
