Tuesday Meet - Quest to find a new Calhoun

Just got back from the spot. I vote this spot for another meet. Wide open lot with a good views of the river, city, and people with water jet packs!

I didn't make it but I am open to boom island for next week.

 

Nice meeting you all as well. And yea, the dudes on the water jet packs were pretty entertaining to watch!

In addition, Boom Island had tons of open parking, near the river, nice views of downtown, and it was very easy to get to. I live on the east side of uptown, and I think it is actually faster for me to drive to Boom Island vs. Thomas Beach at Lake Calhoun. Boom Island might be lacking the chicks running by in sports bras, but that's not why I go to these meets anyway...its a Subaru meet, not a creeper meet. If you're into seeing and talking to decent looking women, there were plenty at the bar that we went to after the meet

For these reasons, I vote that we hit Boom Island again next week and hopefully more people will show up!

I'll try and make it out next week, but it will be about 8:30 or so. Given last night's low turn out, I think we need to give Boom Island at least one more chance.

Did you guys go to Psycho Suzies? That's another bonus is that Boom Island is close to there, and all the other NE bars. Very easy access from 94 and Broadway.

 

We went to Old Chicago and pissed off the waitress.

 

More so then our last trip to Suzies?

Boom Island seems like a very good logical choice! If people are willing to bring food, I'll even bring my sweet new portable gas grill that I bought
