Just noticed this morning. Looks to me like there is an extra connector here. Now I am concerned. I bought the car the way it is right now. 06 sti. The dial pictured below that is on the dash I thought was for the crazy wiring the previous owner did to the radio for an ipod hook up. Now I am thinking maybe a boost controller? Any ideas? Later on today I will follow the cord to see where it leads. Just dont have time right now.
Wow! I had no idea the 06 had one. Any idea how it works? Lol obviously it turns but if I press it the light turns from red to green.
So what I am gathering here by searches is that the dial on my dash has nothing to do with it. Especially since its the oem bcs. Am I correct?
probably remote gain control for an amp or something silly like that. pop the button out. pull out the coin tray under it then reach behind and pop it out. follow the wires.
