Yeah, I don't know for sure how to go about it. Maybe go to the dealership and talk to the owner/manager about the situation and see what they say.

Also, technically I believe it(the STi) was involved in a crime, if you in fact contacted the police, and maybe they would have to cooperate?:dunno:

I'd say that finding the kid in person would be the best way. You'd be surprised how much compliance you can get when you look them in the face.

We do have a member here who I think still works at Maplewood Audi. screen name s1lence (with a one) his name is Ryan and he works in parts. I'm not sure what help he could provide but it might be worth a shot. I know he hasn't been on the forum much but I can direct him over here from the local Evo site to check his PMs. Maybe send him your number or something? Lemme know if you want me to try and flag him down.

Yeah I think he has been in the car business for awhile. He has a cool Galant Vr-4,evo and maybe a 3000gt now too. don't know him really well but the couple times a year we cross paths he is alway real nice.

That's definitely the best route. My other post about the 'test drive' was more for the lullz.

I think you're going about it right. To be honest, it will likely get their attention quickly as the car and the tune is involved in a scam. They would be morons to try and blow you off.

Mabye they'd be intersted in buying the AP from you, if you unmarry it the car might not run well at all and wouldn't be very saleable in that condition. Anyway, I think you're going about it the right way, be honest and hopefully you can work something out with them.

I was just thinking about this and if the above mentioned STi is the one on M. Audis website it probably isn't the dip****s car. i thought he had a new 07 STi that he bought from Ray. also i know when the car on Audis lot (an 05 model) was traded in a Maplewood Imports(porsche) it had the accesport in the glovebox. I hope I'm wrong.

here is the deal...the car was wholesaled from Maplewood audi to a dealership in Souix(spelling?) Falls, I contacted them and the manager is to call me 2maro..i told them that without the ap the car will be locked into the map that is set>thus making it a concern for reverting to stock>therefore there could be warranty problems....

    Sounds like you covered it.

Maybe you can mail it to them to have it un-married, assuming they have someone there that knows what they're doing.
