i dont have high expectations for most suburb restaurants when it comes to beer selection. YMMV based on what restaurant/ establishment you choose.
Old Chicago has a good beer selection, I think that is one of the big reasons why we used to go there. There are plenty of other suburban bars that have decent beer selections, though most dont rotate like OC or Stouts.
I liked being able to hear people and the amount of room we had. Yes beer selection was a bit below average. But I don't think it should be condemned because of that alone.
I am not trying to condemn it but getting a burger in 8 min and it taking 30+ min to get a chance to order another beer is a little bit ****. I think we could find better service, similar atmosphere and a better beer selection somewhere else.
I agree. Our server sucked. But we have had worse service before. All I'm saying/asking is that a judgement not be based on the beer. Either way we won't be back there in the near future. So chalk it up as a lesson learned. Now....do people want the golden valley place next week or Stouts?

I'm on the fence for tonight. Wife is starting to get ill, and recovering from some other injuries last night (ER visit, yay!) so I might be on baby duty tonight, and he's not old enough to be heading out to bars yet... Plan for a +.5?
I may make an appearance tonight as well. There is a 50% chance that I or blueroo will show up...so a 100% chance that at least one of use will show up! Or perhaps only a 25% chance that one of us will. I hate probability questions and am definitely not looking forward to the GMAT lol

Apparently the Universe/Deity is trying to tell me not to hang out with you guys, last night when I got home we found out that the floor drain in our basement was starting to back up and I had to stay up to oh-dark-thirty cleaning things up - and this isn't the first time that I've come home to something gone horribly wrong...
Alright. So today is Tuesday. Here's what it's looking like. Digby's in Rosedale (had Surly Darkness on tap!) or New Bohemia in Golden Valley. Should we do another poll to start this off? PS Tonight I won't be in attendance. I have tickets to the Golden Glove Boxing match tonight. Also I have been given orders to mobilize in the first week of May and need to start prep work. I will be trying my damndest to make it out and be a part of this community. But if I leave early or miss a Tuesday or two try not to BOOOURNS me too hard. As for now I'll still schedule and plan Tuesday events.
