Walked out got in my car and back out of my spot and start to take off and it all just felt really resistive. Got out and my front passenger is flat as hell. Great, go to get out my jack, or half the stuff I need for it is missing so no go. Try to call friends and all are busy. GF called AAA cause she has it, so we wait for 2hrs and still nothing. Well then my buddy Rob was free and came over with his jack and repair kit and air pump(he works for tires plus). We get the tire off and find nothing but a rock stuck in the tread. Well we pull it to what looked like a plug behind it cause it was red. We filled the tire and heard no leaks so put it back on and we all went to get food. In there for a hour and come out and I lost 4psi lol. Guess I'm going to get tires tomorrow.
But did you die?! Haha. Buying tires sucks but that was not at all what I was expecting based on the thread title. At least it was something pretty minor in the grand scheme of things.
I hit something in the road on the way to work 2 weeks ago (Never saw what it was just heard it and mentally thought yep thats gunna be a flat) Must of been something metal and sharp as it cut a 1" wide gash through the cords. Was 6 miles from work. Put on the sketchy af VW donut and drove 20mph the rest of the way to work. I have seen motorcycle tires more beefy then this "spare"
A little update, went to discount on Monday and just like everyone I checked with on Sunday they didn't have my size in stock. I have a 235/45/17 well they had a set of Continental 245s so I went with those since I knew they'd fit. Well after they get it done I back out of my spot and I thought I heard a run but they should fit no prob. Well went and drove a bit more and on full lock they were rubbing on my passenger side. Went back to discount and had them order in the nittos and should be getting them today or Friday.
