so I've done some search but I don't know what to buy. At checkers they have a couple with lifetime warranty, but I was told that those can last not too long. I also called morries and they sell it for 272, I could get 20% off but it's still a lot of money, and they don't take my core in, so no further discount. any suggestions? It seems that right now I have a forester alternator. here's the link when I searched the part number that's on the alternator http://www.maniacelectricmotors.com/13820.html I'd like to spend around $100 including that I return my core, or a little more for a good one. I don't run any electrical equipment that needs extra power. I just have a 6-cd changer and pioneer stereo with regular speakers, no sub, no amp. I also called a couple of places to get a good rebuild and it costs around $150, almost as much as a reman. suggestions?
I don't know if I'd trust an alternator that cheap. I think you'd have to go to U-Pull or something for that kind of price. My refurb from NAPA was something like $200 for my 99 RS.
oh actually I just called ohio generators and the guy told me that it might just be a simple fix. is there a place where they fix alternators? It might just need some springs.
