is this a common issue when running on e85? stock filters clog or restrict flow?

yeah, it was minor. I fixed that and my annoying suspension noise. it's ready for a road trip this weekend. fixing the air cond. would be nice but i think I'll enjoy just running with the windows open on country roads.

I have heard of others having similar issues. From what I've read, the ethanol is a super cleaner and tends to clean out the tank sending whatever gunk that is present through the filter. Again, I just read this on Nasioc...I'm no pro so I'll let others chime in or say differently.

I have heard of some people having issues and others not.. It was a pretty easy fix and some might argue the E is worth it. ;)

Pick up some PB Blaster, spray it good and let it sit. Pick up some Wrenches with long handels and go to town. Best of luck to you.

New bolts with nuts are less than 8.00 total at minnetonka its a good back up plan cause you probably will break them.

+1 wouldn't be a bad idea to just put on the new ones. Or you could take one off and run to the hardware store, spend less money.

Good luck finding a 12mm head at the hardware store.

Wanna know how I know the person who worked on the RS before I got it was a hack?

machine screws to replace a foglight, 13mm bolt with a 15mm nut, no washers on non-flanged bolts/nuts, nice mix of metric and standard bolts, etc... I got sick of sliding under the car and finding wrong size bolts on everything really fast

Replaced the shift linkage in the nonsubaru boxer engined vehicle. Plastic shift linkage. Really? Funny thing is the same part is in the ones that end with 11.

Yeah %35 all around, I was stopped for the first time a few days after the fourth of July and havent been bothered since. It really depends on the police in your area, I live in Minnetonka and have pulled up right next to cruisers and they havent even looked twice (well not at the tint at least haha).

Yup! It's the gt3 version that I want... unfortunately "do want" and "can has" don't always line up with this car and my budget, but we'll see.

Threw a maf high cel last night, car would fall over forwards when it tried to go into open loop. I don't know what caused it, could be all the water I drove through yesterday... Let it dry out and reset ecu and all is good now.

Also I lost my famous WRX led fog light covers over by lake calhoun yesterday, time for real fog lights now or a new design.

Changed my mind and went for a blast up past Parekklisia instead. That's kind of a fun road. It's a bit of a bugger to overtake people, though. I should go up there again sometime with my camera. It's a lot steeper than I expected it to be, so I was well up into the hills before I knew it. :D
