loaded up and tested my launch control and anti-lag in prep for the rallyx in houghton next sunday

 

Got some Tokico D-Specs and Group N front top hats installed and fell in love with the new setup on the way home. Thanks, Dave!

 

Towed a broken fellow subaru owner out of an intersection this afternoon. asked (her) what happened, "it just died and the steering has sucked for the last couple days." ok...pull the alt cover and LOL'd



went and got a new belt and installed it for her.

yes i installed it for her, some other guy (obviously w a Chevy truck) stopped too when he saw i was towing w the sti, but again we were in hibbing and EVERYthing he had was standard, or a crescent wrench, he left, i finished.

tired of rattling when off acceleration at about 3k rpms i took a quick peek under the hood. I found this jammed between the radiator and condenser and pulled it out. I also noticed radiator is not mounted on top (driver side).

shrugged, jumped in subie and headed out for a 300+ mile trip.

Clay-barred and waxed both Sonja and Tonie's Blues Cruise. Now just need to get the Frankenstein bumper on and swap to snow tires, and she'll be ready for the winter.

Changed the oil and removed the filters in the banjo bolts for the AVCS. Idles alot better now!!

 

Disabled teh useless DRLs!!!

crappy low light very dirty wheel/car pics, but you get the point, they are gold and good change from the time attack look. the gold makes the wheels look bigger.

put on winter wheels/tires, and got lightbar done, but need 2 more hella 500 mounting brackets to get 2 more on there.

 

Lovin the Orange. I was leaning towards orange and pink.... but stuck with Green and Yellow this year.

Scuba Steve and I did timing belt, pullies and waterpump last nite on 03 WRX. Not nearly as difficult as I envisioned it.

No it was neon green and neon yellow, but the yellow didn't show up as neon.... it is more yellow than neon yellow. I am guessing it is due to the layer of green under it. Oh well, it looks better with the clear coat on it. Next year i might have to swap over to the neon orange and neon yellow ..... or neon orange and neon pink... or if I am not lazy maybe some graffiti.

 

ive got some good plans for next years already lol. i think it will turn out pretty interesting.
