Put the new wheels on just for the hell of it. Took a few pics then I took them off again.

Those are some 18x8.5 Advan RGII's. I rock the stock goldie's with snow tires in the winter usually.

Those look very nice! I totally want some like that. I really dig the bronze/gold style wheels.

Thanks! I can't wait for summer so I can put them back on! I plan to paint/powdercoat the Brembos white too... I think they will look good matching the car and I won't have the clash of the two different shades of gold.

Checked for leaks. Replaced some hoses, most zip ties. Realigned the front bumper after hitting a black lab last night.:( That's about it for cold weather work.

Installed some DDM HID's. Need to aim them a bit lower, and need to figure out why my DRL's are back on now. Tried disconnecting the plug in the engine bay on the passenger side, and reconnecting the wire under the glove box with no luck (the wire has been disconnected to disable them, but I tried connecting it again and going the engine bay route).

Tonight I added some rally armor mud flaps to the car. It's there basic non logo version. Installs in factory locations. Went on pretty easily. I like it.

I put my car in the ditch yesterday! The ABS has been acting up and when I depressed the brake the ABS engaged and when I let up on the pedal it stayed engaged. So I couldn't steer much (real good ABS) and went right into the ditch! Time for a new front bumper, outer tie rod and headlights! ugh...

Received AP yesterday and played with the 91 map. Switched to the OTS 93 map this morning after discovering BP actually carries it. I am pleased, though not quite hitting boost targets. :(

Installed some pink Susan G. Komen Rallyarmor flaps on the GF's WRX wagon. They were the universals, so no holes cut or hardware. Had to do a bit of hunting at Ace hardware, but they turned out nice! Next up, pink I badge.

Heated up the garage and cleaned my car in my T-shirt.

Tomorrow .... fog lights w/ a DDM 3k 35w swap. Hope to jump the OEM wires for my own switch. I hope to avoid the high beam cutoff.

yup, kid said the past owner built the block, and i believed him since there were some top notch parts in the car APS kit, defi gauges, tein coils.... i got the car for a very good price so i guess i'm not mad about it. now after building it i will know exactly what i have. cylinder 4 ringlands were cracked in 3 different places. lol everything else looks good though. i did a compression test a few months ago so i already knew what was wrong. 145-125-145-80 LOL

^^Wow....It's all about lying when you want to sell a subaru whether stock or built nowadays...

Lesson learned- But how do you trust what a seller is telling you...receipts from parts??.

right. i mean it was hard for me to know if the block was built or not without taking it apart, or taking off the oil pan. whatever, ill make a thread in a couple months of the results of my build.

After 4 days of WRX ownership I drove back to the dealer and picked up an armrest extension and set of all weather mats. I really didn't want to spend the money on the all weather mats but now that they are in the car I've gotta say they look (and function) pretty great. Quick wash on the way back into DT Mpls. I'm happier now.

How do you like the mats? I got a set for Christmas and I don't like them. They cover way less then the Rubbermaid generics I had at Target and they even cover less than the carpet ones that came with the car. Mine is an 05 though, so the newer ones might fit better...
