I should also add that the last vehicle I did was a 94 grand cherokee. I used their products on the headliner, door panels, floor boards, EVERYWHERE, and when I was done, it road quieter than my old boss's escalade. The edesign products are very affordable, I think the whole project was under 160 shipped for all the butyl mat, teklite, and some big panel pads.

So I dont get in trouble: I looked around to figure out what kind of rockguard I need for my hellas that are in the mail.

ED does not have great deadener products. There have been and are still issues with the Edead. Raamaudio and SecondSkin are simply better products, and both companies are active members in the Subaru and car audio community. I've got nothing against ED, but their deadener is not equal to the other companies, well the mat mainly. I can't speak for the other products specifically.

^love raamaudio's stuff. Raamat is amazing, but pricey. I have no experience with secondskin.

I have used ED's mat, and used raamat. I'll definitely agree the raamat is a superior product, but again, cost, cost, cost.

The teklite is great stuff. I didnt order anything of raamat to compare, so I cant touch on that. Again, the cost is much higher on his product, but you get what you pay for. I am trying to take off the top 60-70% of road noise, not install a system, or add any weight to the doors. This stuff has been perfect in my past experiences.

I will just be one positive review about the Edead then. When I used it in bulk, it performed very well. The teklite I will continue to use in my cars because of its light weight, and how great it is at covering the noise caused by wind and tire contact with the road.

and tom, I definitely can help! I would look around, do some research, and let me know what products you want to go with. Im not audio guru, so I dont know what performs the best, like is evident by road runners comments. I can only stand by a few scattered products, so see what YOU decide on bro. Order the stuff and we can work on it!

It's less a matter of performance as it is with staying where it should. The Edead has long had a problem of falling off, and this has never been fixed to date. Mat that falls off isn't exactly useful.

Raamaudio is cheap, lol. Secondskin is a bit more pricey yet.

It's tough to quantify effectiveness of the products. No one, I repeat no one has ever actually tested any of these deadener materials towards effectiveness. I have seen durability tests comparing sticking power, heat tolerance, and such, but no one has ever built a test rig and done measurements for various deadeners.

Well, I can't say that fully. Some testing has been done for some deadening but only on a commercial scale or on an unrelated home audio scale for enclosures and standing wave control.

Sorry to interrupt the ICE guys but...

I tore apart my suspension. Again.

I took the 325# and 275# springs along with the OEM tophats off my struts and put some 500# springs and Cusco Camber plates up front and some 400# springs and Group N tophats on in the rear. I also threw in some camber bolts into the rear holes so I've got a bit more adjustability. Now I just need to track down where the clunking noise (it's a loose bolt. I just need to figure out which one) is coming from in my rear driver's strut area. But I need light for that.

My guess is the main strut bolt too, either loose or missing the spacer so there's play (if it needs one).

last night I fixed my suspension issues from the last rally cross. slightly bent right front strut...thank goodness it was a cheap wrx stocker and I have a few spares:)

then put the street set-up back on...ohhhhhh love to have the stiffer suspension back on the car. Man the stock stuff is good for the dirt, but a real lame/mushy ride on the streets.:puke:

Swapped Kuhmos from the Leggy back to the Wagon last night. Had them on them on the Leggy for BIR last weekend. I should've put them back sooner as I had the snows temporarily on the wagon and this warm weather was killing them.

Sucky jack and gravel driveway is a pain but, "Yay!" for cordless impact wrenches.

Washed it, seperated my RE92s from my silver stockers, the nokian WR's from the 98 RS goldies... now have nokians on silver stockers, rest is seperate. Set up an appointment for an alignment while I was at it.

Picked up a helmet today, too. Some amazingly good looking ladies working the counters at the cycle shops around here.

installed my hella's...holy cow. these things are rediculously bright. Hope I dont get flashed by oncoming too much. they are street legal, but probably shouldnt be. They sit low enough that I dont feel horrible, but the pattern shoots higher than expected.

I'm on my way to the shop now to start work on the sound dampening, and hopefully get the leak at the water pump sorted through when the car cools down.

Tomorrow is going to be porting the exhaust manifold, I dont need to coat them inside with anything, right? I keep having people ask me that. Im assuming they are talking about high temp coating the outside? whatever...

Oh, and Ive gotta get my front sway bar bushings in at some point.

drove to the golf course and back - would really like to give the new tires a better workout...
Washed and applied tire shine = looks goood, really good... But my life is good! Really good! I get to wake up every morning, at 5AM, and make some soup! It's the best. I love it. I get to lay in a bed, all by myself, all of my life! That's fantastic! Go. Go away! Read some books!
I think i'll take swap out the eibach springs for stockers tomorrow and put those on when I "winterize" the car later this fall = look for some 04 eibachs for sale soon.

Installed a TurboXS DP and catback adapter pipe on my '06 WRX. Bolted up to my stock catback with no problems.

A little raspier when leaning on it, but still nice and quiet. Running Bullwinkle's Stage 2 91oct map, and it pulls hard.
