You could buy 20 more replacements and still be cheaper than my gauge setup :(

No idea if the gauge is the problem. I know people who have been running them for years without problems. That is why I went with prosport. They are not expensive and they work just as well as any other gauge. I am 99% sure I have a boost leak somewhere.

    That made me laugh.

Is it funny that we were talking about me making it home on 1 tank of gas this weekend... then i post my highest MPG to date on E85 when i drove home, 19.528 MPG. I think you are correct.... but i am not sure that I like that outcome.

That was the first thing I thought of when I read your post about a potential boost leak. I don't know, maybe just a coincidence.

P.S. I like the fact that you ran your fuel mileage out to a 3-place decimal.

It is an App I use on the phone...

Well it was a boost leak and the $35 ProSport Gauge is still a good buy...

Like i said on the phone, you rock for finding all of my boost leaks on your car a few days before it happens to me.... Let me know next time something goes wrong with your car so I can prep mine for the same issue :)

swore at it, a lot. got everything disconnected and started pulling the block... trans and clutch haven't been playing nice since it has been parked (including the clutch not engaging to hold while I removed the crank pulley)... Tomorrow it WILL come out, come hell or high water.

I've officially decided I will NEVER buy another car that has been swapped/worked on by someone I don't know or a credible shop.

With that said, I have also rebuilt the steering column (5 loose nuts and bolts, safe, right?), tightened down ALL the suspension components and completely cleaned the new heads for the current block.

Tomorrow the block comes out, gets new heads, and the reversal process begins... I will also be cleaning both turbos and deciding which to use. If I'm really motivated and making good time, tomorrow night I'll tear down the EJ257 block and heads and prep them for machining this summer.

Never did make it over there since prior engagments were already set that I was well reminded of by the GF. Funny, my issue is causing me to be lacking in boost as well. ECU went to limp mode because the air pump is faltering. Gonna pull it and plug the main hose, then get rid of the codes. I'll be back to normal, and with more space to work with in the engine bay as well! Hopefully by Tuesday, if you wouldn't mind coming out to Calhoun, Nuke? I've been trying to get ahold of Bullwinkle, but no response.

I must have done something wrong with my throttle body hose when putting my TMIC on, on Tuesday night. This morning I hit boost and it sounded like I had a EWG... and almost died. Weird that it took 1.5 days of spirited driving to pop. I did a good hour test drive after putting everything back on Tuesday night.

    1. I didn't tighten down enough

    2. I had the clamp too close to the edge.

It looks like I will be working from home and fixing the leak over lunch.

Picked it up from the garage. My wallet's €200 lighter but at least the rear diff isn't leaking any more. So the car is now ready to be used regularly again. I suppose I ought to pull my finger out now and get those certs from the mechanical engineer so I can get the MOT certificate so I can actually drive it legally on the roads. Sigh.

speaking of rear diff leaks, I should check the wagon's rear diff level and fix that again... the ONE time I get my oil change done somewhere and I tell them not to touch anything thats not for the oil change, of course they did.

more like I didn't have time to go empty my own catch can and do it (my brother was supposed to empty it since I let him use it, silly me)... car needed the oil change and I needed to be on my way to work within a half hour's time frame... I didn't have much of a choice as I hate going over on oil change intervals.

Spent a few hours on my new-to-me wagon yesterday. Up on jackstands, all 4 wheels off, stripping ugly blue paint off the calipers with chemical stripper and a wire brush.

I'd like to send a big "thank you" to whoever thought that was a good idea.

I bought a black G2 kit, but decided not to paint yesterday as apparenly it needs 24 hours to cure before driving. One of these weekends I'll get after it again...

I put on the spare set of stock 5-spokes/all-seasons I got off NASIOC so I can recon the originals that are curbed & corroding.

Anyone in the FM area have a sandblaster big enough for wheels?

Oh yeah, and I put on GrafxWerks overlays on my taillights - gotta say they match the factory red very well - even when lit up. I'm very happy with them!

Washed the car today and realize how crappy my paint is i guess in the few months of parking at the mall I have 4 dents in my door and someone decided to use my bumper to trade some paint.. White paint on a black car always looks good lol :(

I just got my 110k maintenance done just in time for me to do a multi state road trip.
I was really impressed with Burnsville Subaru! They gave me my club discount, did all the work (timing belt, water pump, other belts etc etc) , installed an after market pulley, got me a new spt air filter and syth oil change for 850 bucks which to me was a great price!
Been testing her out and shes running beautifully. I so love my car.

Did you add a different type of intake on your car or did you just replace the OEM drop in with a SPT drop in?

Gave the car a wash and desperately needed wax. Got my stoptech pads and centric premium rotors in the mail and will be attempting my first brake job tomorrow back in Wisconnny with the old man.
