Got the Sedan Front end mocked up on the car tonight. Also got the tranny cleaned up and ready for the rebuild. Finish welding up the catch can tomorrow after pulling an SR out of an S13.

Wash + Wax last night. It needed it and looks sooooo nice. Too bad it might rain this week.

I noticed a few rock chips, which seems to happen every time I wax my car. I tried to touch up my flat black grill with the same can of paint i used to paint it. i sprayed a good amount into a cup and used the back of a match to apply it. I was shocked to see that it was a lighter color of black.... even though i used the same can. So looks like i am pulling my bumper sometime this week to spray the grill again. I might have to try the matte enamel a 2nd time.... i didn't like it before, but it is pretty early to see rock chips.

Well it wasn't today, it was actually two Friday's ago, but I installed my Cobb AP, officially at Stage 1 now! AND i'm in the process of completely re-doing the garage...so far painted, installed new shelves, added workbench, got rid of lots of crap....photos of the final product to come....once it's done of course. Oh and new rotors and pads up front.

Well i noticed some rock chips when i waxed my car the other day. So I grabbed the same can of paint i used to spray the grill, and applied touch ups. For some reason I got a different color of flat black... which looked really bad, you can see the spots in the picture below... so...... Last night i pulled my front bumper and pulled my grill. Then i cleaned and taped off the grill for paint

    View attachment 24970

The paint / aerosol must have gotten under the first layer of paint. After the first coat, my paint started to vein up and look really bad.... then i freaked because this was going to be a quick 1 hour job and then i was going to shoot some photos with Ben... so i made the situation worse by trying to clean up the veins. Needless to say i ended up using a razor and light sand paper to clean up the grill. Then I applied paint again.... woke up @ 5:30am and put it all back together. The paint is all one color now but i need to pull it and sand it down again. I am not 100% happy with the finish, i can see some of the edges of where the 1st layer of paint was and wasn't from the sanding and peeling.... i really wish i would have let the paint dry more before i tried to "fix it".... but not it looks good, just the minor things that i notice... i am guessing i will fix this weekend.

    05 LGT Wagon with 76k.

So, Muscatell bought it at auction with a bad clutch, which they replaced while it was on the lot. So, new clutch worked well on the test drive, though I did point out that the pedal feet light. Turns out that the clutch they put in it was the wrong one mis-boxed at the factory, lol... Must've been for a 2.5i or something, no wonder after break-in it was slippin like crazy under boost.

New clutch feels great, but it's gonna take some getting used to. I already killed it once, lol. [IMG]

replaced the radiator for a newer style one that wasn't a worthless pile of crap, also decided that the DD wagon needs sway bars and endlinks

    messy job is messy.

The fit was surprisingly good for an aftermarket hose. it was cheaper to buy a premade one rather than piecing it together, and cheaper then a replacement from Subaru. I would recommend it if you have a high pressure line that is leaking at a factory connected joint (hard to soft line).

Fixed boost leak(s) over the weekend thanks to Derek/Dan/Nuke.

Started playing with an early version Nuke tune. Makes me feel kinda giggly. My apologies to whoever was behind me when I almost threw it sideways on the first 90* right a couple blocks from home. Didn't quite expect that... :jumpy:

taking off a clear license plate cover that is apparently illegal and grounds for a $108 ticket! i did not realize clear plastic obstructs the plate, it was there when i bought it and never even thought of it.

Took my car to Turbo turtles to check around for my Vacuum leak. Ended up getting a new coolant reservoir in, new bpv gasket, tightened bpv hose, and to top it off Dan pointed out the previous owner deleted the TGVs. Thanks a bunch Dan, the car feels alot better!

Found that yes, you can fit a Toro 924 Powershift in the back of an LGT wagon, if you leave the hatch up. Friends with pickups? Who needs em! :foreveralone:

    Gave it an oil change.

Looked for a boost leak because i just had a feeling, my vacuum was sitting nice @ -20, my idle was fine... but my MPGs were way up .... noticed oil spray on my TMIC from the TB hose. Spent a good 20 minutes trying to get the clamp just right.... the TB hose and the IPR TMIC have a very small area for connection, my clamp kept slipping off of the bottom of the TMIC so it wasn't secure. I am pretty sure it is finally on there good, i did some testing last night and it looked clean (no oil spray). I guess after a day or two we will really know what is going on.

    I knew i shouldn't have been getting 19MPG on E85.

Put the wagon up on ramps to get an idea of what I was in for on my UP/DP install... Found out it's already got an aftermarket UP! Anyone recognize the brand? Non-flex, EGT bung, and kinda unique flanges. The manifold flange has a beveled edge and the turbo flange has a thicker center area, a step, and a thinner outer part... These are the best pics I could get.

I just ordered the HP+'s for mine :)

I'm not too concerned about the noise (I'm basically metal on metal now  ), but what did you do to quiet them down?
