decided to give it some attention finally.

saggy butt was bothering me, the 1/2" spacers i have aren't going to cut it so I decided to get new springs (eibach) I'll be selling the 1/2 spacers. I'm also picking up some rota tarmac 2's for summer use. two side skirts are not staying clipped in the back and still need to fix the scrapes some asshat decided to add to the car a while back so I might try to get all that done in short order.

Just came back from subaru burnsville, they were super nice and installed my new cobb cat back. I already had the downpipe but now running full stage 2. Because of rain and traffic i have not pushed it yet. I am enjoying my rumble music. I drove with the windows down it was really nice despite the rain.

I put the "new" (read: 2.2l from the back of the garage that doesn't have a rod exit wound) engine in the 97' Legacy L I picked up. I forgot to get oil while in town so hopefully tomorrow I'll get her fired up

Chased down an exhaust leak and dampened an excessively noisy heat shield. Enjoyed only hearing actual exhaust for an evening.

Beside the generic Cobb map I don't have anything else. I am not sure I want to compromise the drivability. If I could be sure to find someone that can tune an old 2002 wagon without killing it than I would consider a tune.

Just got my Flapatax flaps installed on the '11. The rears were cake, the fronts were a cast iron pain in the ass. Worth the trouble to protect it though. I'll have Chris from Flawless Frontends working his magic on the rest of the car Tuesday.

Took advantage of the heat to debadge the trunk. Hope I didn't scratch anything up too bad. If I can hear Sheen swearing at me from Apple Valley I'll know I made an oops.

I picked up the car from Chris at Flawless Frontends. He did the front bumper, headlights, hood, fenders, A pillars, roof, lower 1/3 of the doors, rocker panels, mirrors, behind each wheel arch and also did my taillights in red. Excellent work and very, very good pricing. I would highly recommend him if you're looking to have work done, he's a great guy to work with. Just Google Flawless Frontends. He does have a MNSubaru discount.

Pics to come tomorrow. I think I may have enough clear bra on the car to cost me a couple 10ths 0-60 ;) The taillights look amazing now and really add some color to the car.

I love them, they're pretty stiff but nice and wide. I wanted as much coverage as possible. Let me know if you get a set, I can help out with the install.

Also installed BC. They are a little on the bouncy side when on a rough road.

    But Jeff does great work.

Lol, yeah, wheels and tires were almost 3 times what the car cost lol. Also, thanks for the drooling, it's quite the compliment.

PS: buy STI/Wrx suspension for your outback, it'll be worth it haha

The new WRX's don't have snorkels. Did you cut a hole in the bottom of the airbox or something?

Yeah, if you open up your airbox there should be a circular indent on the bottom of the front half. Might make things a hair louder if you cut it out, but I don't see it doing much else.

Some people on 3G have done some other variations. I think some even took the whole front half off, and did other crazy things like that. Not sure if any of them actually helped power though.

    Here's the thread:

    http://www.3gwrx.com/forum/index.php?topic=2183.0

Scroll halfway down and people start doing the crazy stuff. Cutting off the front half of the airbox, angling it, running without the scoop going to the grill, etc. No idea if any of this stuff is beneficial or even a good idea....

Decided to do some exterior mods to the car since I am saving up for suspension mods. Debadged the trunk and fixed and installed the aftermarket tails I got for some photoshop work. They are ricey as hell but I needed to do something different for now.
