    LoL. It looks good.

I got some shots in the sunlight from last nights work. Sorry this is after the automatic car wash so there is still a little water inside the letters.

Been a bit since I posted but did a test fit of the new wheels. 17x9 +30 MB Battle on the OEM 225/45 RE070. BC Racing Coilovers. Pumped to drive the hell out of this setup on a track soon. Apparently from the look of it Dan or the owner before him trimmed the rear fenders since there is practically no fender lip there :D Thanks! That means I need to roll the fronts still. One tire is getting patched as it picked up a nail sometime in the summer and I never noticed it

Once I do the front fenders I'll put them back on Easter weekend and voila, summer setup. I will be going ~1" lower and dialing the suspension specs as the rear needs a hair more camber and low to clear since the 225s rub a little under heavy load. Front need lowering and a good amount of camber from this apparent + camber from raising to winter stance haha oops I missed that.

Lastly, Wing is staying on. I just was bored and took it off to see the condition of the paint under it. Front lip and flaps will go likely to rake the stance. Flaps will be for winter most likely

*Dirty car haha the 300 mile drive will do that. Don't worry Dan if you're reading this I'm taking good care of her :) Shes got new rotors at home too

nice looking ride. i like it. was going to put my snowblower away, but then i got to thinking that we still have the rest of March and April to go through yet and pretty much anything could happen yet. Don't think we're totally out of the woods yet when it come to old man winter.

    I learned a few things....

    * Unlike paint, it actually is better to not tape right next to the letters. I found that with the tape right next to the letters I had to do some touch up work. Next time I do this (maybe this weekend) I am going to leave a good inch or two boarder around the letters. Removing the Plasti Dip from the paint was super easy, the toothpicks are the tool of choice.

    * I feel I could have done lighter coats. I did the last coat a bit heavy trying to get a more even finish, it didn't work as I thought it would. I guess I was treating it like clear coat on wheels. So I am going to try and do a better job applying next time.

    * I love Plasti Dip. Very user friendly. If you mess up, just peel it off and try again.

    * As easy as it is to remove it is also durable. I ran it though the automated car wash yesterday and it didn't budge. I am happy with the result.

This weekend I am going to dip my radio frame that BroCo cut for me. I am going to hit up my front grill as well. I am going to see if the Plasti Dip survives the summer better than the rattle can job I did last year. I have a feeling it will handle rocks better, but I guess time will tell. If I get all of my projects done I might repaint my emblems in the back again.

Painted my strut tower bar matte black and the pieces that connect to the strut towers in GrimmSpeed WRB. Also, my RFL BOV in matte black. No pics, but you'll see them at the M.A.N event if you show up(or if Sheen posts the pic that i sent him, lol)! :)

    The last two nights:
1)removed rotors and had them turned at Tony's in Andover for mad cheap -will never forget to buy PB Blaster first again :banghead:
2)disassembled, thoroughly cleaned, and regreased front and rear sway bar mounts than reassembled.
    3)recharged K&N
    4)reassembled rotors/brakes
5)bled brakes (smashed thumbnail in process of loosening rear brake bleeder bolt  )
6)threw summer shoes on - reminded yet again how much better they look and feel over the winter setup, never fails
    7)rebedded pads
    ...tonight...
8)staying out of the garage, drinking, and watching 'The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo' with the wife and dog :coffee:

Just installed my GrimmSpeed Master Cylinder Brace. Funny how long 5 bolt take to install when you have stubby hands :D

Lots of swapping between hands, sockets, sockets with extensions, sockets with joints, sockets with joints and extensions, big wrenches, small wrenches ..... and some swearing. However the YouTube video was nice. Thanks guys. One note on the install. I found it easier to install one of the lower bolts first. The video says install the top left bolt first. (When looking at it from the passenger side) I couldn't do it.... dropped the bolt through my engine bay like 10 times. I couldn't get my hand or wrench in there without moving the brace. So i lined up the top hole so i could see the threads. I then did a "blind" hand + socket tighten on the lower bolts. This made it easier to get in the top bolt. Everything else followed the video. I did have to remove the cover for the fuse box to get the fuel line brace snapped in.

Test drove around the neighborhood .... I am pretty damn happy.

The brace for the intercooler did a number on my hand. I also went through 3 gloves before I said F it and went gloveless.

That's the place - I live in Elk River and my wife's family lives about 2 min from his shop. My father-in-law has had nothing but great things to say about his work and they have takent their cars there for years. I havn't done too much business with him but so far I am very pleased.
Really wanted to do this upgrade but comments like yours about the install are what deterred me. Perhaps on the next car I will take up the challenge or maybe just pay someone else to do it for me. I assume the break feel is much better but do you think it has improved any braking performance?

I wouldn't let it keep you from doing the mod. I mean it really only takes around an hour... it isn't that it is really bad. I just assumed it was going to be a lot easier. I am one of the GrimmSpeed testers.... so in the early stages of this brace I watched Chad put it on my car more than once. He made it look simple.... but those were also preproduction versions. I am no car guru.... so if i can do it i would think most people can.

I do notice a big difference. I haven't hit the highway yet, but 30 MPH - 40 MPH I can tell a difference.

Install really isn't that terrible. The worst part for me was the "unused threaded hole" bolt which took more time than the rest of the entire install due to its location. Pedal feel is really good, I felt quite a difference and I already had stainless brake lines too. It's not so much a performance difference but more of a driver aid mod.

Thanks for the feedback. My plan as of now is to keep the car for about another year so I think I'm going to pass on this either way for this car.

I appreciate it. Might take you up on that offer down the road.

Thanks. Considering stainless brake lines if/when I do this mod too.

I had a blast driving the lgt like a rally driver.

Car is nice and dirty now.
