Well, as you know I was concerned about the potential "flopping around" problem while driving. RA sent me a link to a video of a '08-'12 wide-body hatch equipped with the URs during a "spirited" drive with a camera fixed to the driver's rear of the car (both left side flaps visible on camera). There was no flapping going on. That and the reputation for quality and customer service that RA appears to have convinced me to go that route. I guess if they move around, I won't know it! They are very flexible but at least they won't scrape on the driveway or over speed bumps. I'm sure they'll work fine. If not, I guess I'll post about it!

Installed Koni Adjustable Dampers and RCE black springs (rears only) on Thursday.

    [IMG] [IMG]

On Friday I did the front Koni's/RCE's with the help of Roger from NF Performance :)

Here are some shots of the ride height on Koni Adjustable dampers and RCE Black springs. 13" from fender to hub on all 4 corners.

Yeah, I'm really happy with how it turned out. With the RCE Black's and stock struts the front was about 1/2" higher than the rear. I like the even look much better.

Not really a to but a with ... used the Foz as a tire hauler to snag some new meats for the CJ-7.

TIL that a set of four 33"x12.5" tires fit perfectly in the back of a Forester.

    If only they fit ...

Hit 95k Miles, changed out spark plugs along with a compression test. Results on a colder engine; 1)120 2)129 3)125 4)130

Put new springs on couple weeks ago along with a synapse bov(it was a killer deal) and some wheels. New toy to come on Thursday. Will post pics up after installation! I really need to get around to doing that timing belt...

Went to Motorwerks to have the car inspected for the northstarbmw BIR event. Always nice having a family member inspect the car (he also helped with 90% of the mods... he knows the car).

Also inspected xlubens and his bros car.

Ordered a new helmet from Bob's Cycle on the way home.

Past few months FMS has been sending out cores with mounting tabs welded on the wrong side of the core to at least one vendor. Also I have noticed that those who received the upside down core were supposed to have brackets that weren't included. A guy I had spoken to (different from the person I purchased from with the same company) said this was the new way of mounting and it's supposed to be like this. I have yet to see photo proof of these brackets but I should have them on Wednesday. Overall, I am unimpressed by how it's being handled by the vendor since there have been plenty of people with this issue and seeing I have tracked the issue back to late 2011 or early 2012 it should have been resolved by now. I received shipment of the FMIC on Thursday.

Who is the vendor? Import Image Racing? Because they are the same thing as FMS. They source the FMS products from overseas and then sell them as FMS through Import Image and other vendors. It sounds like they got a screwed up batch, and instead of sending them back, they have tired to come up with a "fix" and they are saying that it is normal.

    Washed my car
    Washed the rims
Cleaned the Explorer while my car dried for waxing.
    Waxed my car and rims.

I love the smell of fresh wax in the garage.

Ran out of sunlight ..... didn't get to clean the inside.
