installing Grimmspeed up pipe, re done the trunk(patch holes, sand, prime, paint, clear), wet sand and buff hood, looks glassy now, having heads ported, missing a 8mm to bleed brakes! spaying underbody on much needed areas under car plus bolts.

no, my time and funds are limited, need the car tommorrow for interviews. if i only had a hoopty to drive around? next project down the line would be to port the intake manifold/tgv and install a bigger throttle body. i'll be picking the heads up and ceramic coating it, the turbo, top mount, cross pipe,

I'm thinkin '09.....30,000 miles or so.. wife's car ya know. I have a truck for now. Once that's paid for, I will get next STI hatch....
I have an 03 WRX with 107,000. It's in the the pic to the left. My wife is driving it now. Full stainless exhaust, 9lb flywheel, intake has been replaced with high perf., HUGE top mount with new gaskets to the hood, Grimmspeed boost control solenoid and a reflash to 23 psi...love it!

holy crap! thats beast! mines a 02 wrx with 120k miles, exeddy racing clutch and 12lb ACT flywhl, turbo xs hybrid bov, 05 sti radiator, perrin lighten crank pulley, perrin short shift adapter and urethan shift bushings, 4" carbon hood scoop, turbo and intake manifold ceramic coated. never tuned or reflashed yet. 23psi?! man thats beast, i'll be happy knowing if i'm doing 17psi. oh and of course just installed the Grimmspeed up pipe and the ported heads, i ceramic coated those and the cross pipe.did a test run and the rpm and boost climbed really quick, but the engine was smoking after i got back, don't know why, no leak.

reflash and do 20. make sure you give it cool down time, and know that the turbo life WILL be shortened. I was thinking of putting in a different turbo a couple of years ago, but found I could run the current one way up. Then, when the current one fails, I can up grade. Still running strong, though! I have a turbo timer in it, too. That enhances the cool down time greatly.

2nd gear shattered, though. I had to put in a new tranny. I went with an '04, and from what I'm told, the 2nd gear was beefed up a bit, as it was a known problem.

^^Get that thing tuned before you do some major damage! Stay out of boost until it's been tuned.

I went to Sheen's yesterday to borrow his power to clean the car. Got the interior super clean and ended up bucket washing it and putting a fresh coat of wax on. Ready for Firestonez tonight!:D Btw Chris, i mixed a spray bottle of rubbing alcohol and water to clean the windows and have been using it since i was at your place for the re-tint....works great!!!

Next year I'll put proper forester fitment tires on it, most likely 245/45 instead of the 235/40 that's on it
