Like I said yesterday, I don't think I worked on it this much even when I did own it

I wanted to get home and get some sleep (which incidentally didn't happen anyway). Plus, the way you were hunched over in eager anticipation helped me finish quickly. Not as quickly as when I was working on your brother's long black pipe the other night though.

Pulled my bumper off to inspect my non-working fog light. Looks like a rock took out my fog light housing and light bulb. My ballast is fine, but I'll have to order a new bulb from DDM Tuning. Just ordered a replacement fog light housing on Amazon. To make matters worse my low beam on my drivers side stopped working today. It is not the ballast or the light bulb, it seems that the issue is somewhere between the plug and the fuse box. The passengers side works fine (they use the same fuse). I tried my HIDs on the passenger side and both the ballast and the light work. Also tried an OEM bulb, which did not work. Tomorrow I guess I am going to see what I can find.

    GRRRR - problems suck

Not cheap HIDs. Lifetime warranty. Who else out there will replace broken parts for free for life? Thanks for your educated opinion.

Also, you didn't read what i wrote... The fog issue had nothing to do with the HID or their quality. It was a rock that caused the issue. A rock broke my glass and bulb.

The low beams is also not the HIDs. It's an issue from the OEM plug - fuse box. All my low beam parts from the HID side work fine.

I've tried after market hid kits. To make it short, if you want hid's that bad just get a vehicle that comes with them from the factory.

What? I have had them for two plus years... Do people really not read? I have no issues with the function of my HIDs. I love them. They work great.

Just the fact that you posted it... It's just weird. What did you accomplish? How does that help? My post has nothing to do with HID issues, just saying i checked the parts to make sure it wasn't HID issues. So why bash my parts?

Drove mine (yesterday), after a quick wash, to cousin's wedding. Then, saw other cousin's 2011 WRX, now with his winter wheels on, which are just bad ass looking (all black 6 spokes. Got slightly jealous, and fell even more in love with the newer body styles. Still love my car, but man, that is a mean looking car!

Pulled out the PCV valve. Pretty sure it was leaking boost into my crank case. Either way, it fixed it! No more oil out of the dipstick while boosting uphill...

So, FYI, if you're running the 02-03 style OEM PCV valve (the one that screws into the intake manifold), it might leak at 25+ psi.

Unable to find the problem with my headlight. I have it narrowed down to no low beam power at the last clip after the fuse box. However, the high beams and corner light still have power in that clip. I followed the wires, nothing appears strange, broken, fused, cut, exposed. No evidence of hot, melted, or broken clips. Fuse box looked fine. Found the negative connection split from the wire grouping, cleaned it up, still no luck.

Back at it after work tomorrow ... I hope i can snag some time and knowledge from family. Either way, pulling more of the car apart.

I'm not knocking your HID's, but when ever I ran the after market kits I would always have electrical issues down the road. I always used DDM tuning kits so they weren't junk. But it just seemed that when I did the hid kit that some time down the road I'd run into an electrical issue involving my head lights. Will your reg low beam bulb work off the harness in that side?

No, that was an early test. There is no power to that clip or for the low beams at the larger clip. I do have power for everything else though. The issue is somewhere earlier than the large headlight clip.

Other low beams work, so not a fuse issue.

Turn your lights on, and with a circuit tester probe the hot wire on the light harness. See if it has power right behind the clip. If not, keep probing back till you find power. Could be a break in the wire or possibly the connector itself is fried.

manifold, injectors, and old turbo out. VF39 is in and the clutch material has been cleaned out of the bellhousing.

hoping to get the LWFW, clutch, transmission, driveshaft, exhaust, and front suspension together tomorrow. itll be nice to see her on the ground again...

also picked up some STi aluminum front control arms to install at a later date, once i get whiteline bushings and anti-lift kit to compliment them.
