Decided to debadge the trunk. Then had to do some polishing after all the emblems were off. Ended up waxing the whole car. Haha :D uploadfromtaptalk1354068260213.jpg

today i switched out the trans pitch mount on my 2010 STI. Went with a Torque Solutions unit. i think it usually helps to firm certain things up a little. it's a billet aluminum piece with poly bushings. heard some say you get a bit more engine noise in the cabin with these, but it didn't notice any difference there. i did notice a slight improvement in throttle response though. i consider it a good move. Did you get the cool start up noise in the cabin?

Picked up the spt pitch mount, trand mount, engine mounts, and spec b aluminum control arms. Car is currently torn apart for an ACT hdss clutch and single mass flywheel. If I keep this rate up, old derpy should be pretty gnarly by the time spring rolls around.
Also the other day did a bunch of work to the beater probe, rear end links, pads, rotors, and both sets of tie rod ends up front.

Installed the stock airbox, with a new air filter, no need for the Cobb SF if all its good for is making noise, and sucking hot air in. Cleaned the MAF sensor. Changed the oil. Changed the tranny lube. Next is a coolant flush, and then the red rocket will have all new fluids.

This intake is awesome, but you need to get the airbox setup with it, or make your own. That makes it a lot more functional. Without the airbox setup you are just sucking in engine temp air.

It does sound cool. But until I decide to get the air box for it, I see no need to suck hot air in. Over $100 for the box vs $30 I paid for a stock one. Stock will be fine for a while.

I was speaking more towards your comment about the product. what you do with your car doesn't really matter.

The nice thing is this time of year engine bay temps are still just a bit above ambient. Pretty much ambient at speed. Unless you're one of those idiots with 15 sets of hella horns in your grill. Come summer though...

Very true. I guess i should have said summer. I just really like their airbox setup. It seems so functional.

Installed mudflaps. Looking into Maddad gauges for the spring time. $700 for gauges is insane.

It was listed as a Fraser Fir, but I think that's pretty much the same thing. It was from a lot down on East River Road. We've gotten trees there before.

Had Nuke do a stage 1 tune. Much smoother now and pulls a little harder now too! Also put on about 250 miles, and picked up an aluminum skid plate! Busy day for the red rocket :D

Dynoed and tuned my car on e85(e70)today and all pull's were around 320-335whp in 4th gear, tune isn't complete yet, maybe on monday

It's running lean at 5k-6k but it pull's all the way to redline(vf52) and the rear end slide's when launched/floored in 1st gear, amazing:)

    Sleeper?

Traveled to Grand Rapids for an event at Mt Itasca. From the looks of the forecast I'll be in the bullseye of the storm, but no snow yet. I may need to head over to downtown Coleraine to see if I can get spotted. The drive home Sunday will be interesting.

put the snow tires on today, then turned a 40 mile drive home into a 100 mile one going way outta the way to avoid the slow drivers that clog the main roads.. and to find some long sweeping corners to go sideways on... LOVE LOVE LOVE the snow...

Saturday we won our class ("Limited") at Yucatan Winter Safari Rally, in dry dusty, summer-like conditions, then drove home from Winona via Rochester in all the snow on Sunday. I was a little unhappy Saturday about my decision to put the snows on for the rally, but was oh-so-happy about it on Sunday!!

Picked up the STi seats from blackozone (Lee) on the way home.

    Didn't shred any parking lots.
