Had St.Cloud Subaru do an alignment. Car drove fine, but noticed some light uneven wear on the tires I just took off. Seems things were a little off.

Also had a couple more keys cut, and a 2nd remote programmed.

Confirmed I'm still inexplicably losing oil and am seeing tiny bits of knock sum where there was previously none.

    Compression test this weekend. :(

Yeah I am digging my Kartboy bushings too. I might suggest checking out TiC (Turn in Concepts), they make a few more bushings that Kartboy doesn't offer. I picked up the Kartboy + the TiC busings in their holy shift kit (Wide) and I really like the change it made.

Thanks. Next is wait to see what insurance adjuster says, but am thinking a 04-05 sti front swap might be in order with a motor build to follow, if funds allow.

Fixed my electrical issue on my car. Or should I say Crispy fixed my electrical issue on my car. I am stoked to have my windshield washers working correctly, my boost gauge back and fog lights that turn on. However, while working on the car we looked into my heating issue as well. We discovered a bunch of sludge and metal in my coolant overflow tank. Add to that the mini bubbles / carbonation effect in my upper coolant tank ..... well I don't think good things are going to come of it. Going to spend some time with NF this weekend to figure out the issue, but we are pretty sure we know what it is....

Went to start the subaru and it didnt start! First time in 7 years it would not run, cranks over, fires, massive backfire out of the exhaust. Added fuel to the tank (not much) it started and ran, then stalled, I think the gas gauge is very wrong. So for probably the first time in the history of cars I'm going to say, my subaru wouldn't start this morning, so I took my Jaguar.

....aaaand I'm pretty sure I just popped my clutch master cylinder and probably have a leaking brake master as well. Awesome.

Getting really, really close to parking it indefinitely.

Four months in a row of wtf repairs is getting close to my limit.

    Sorry to hear, Surly.

If funding wasn't an issue, I'd probably have a CTS-V wagon. Either that or one of the new E63 AMG AWD wagons.

I did consider a previous gen CTS-V but I'd miss having the AWD in the winter and I'm pretty sure the wife wouldn't let me have two cars right now.

Problem is they depreciate so hard/fast. I couldn't justify a used e63 for 60k when you can get a 2 year older e55 for 20k. Would want CPO as well.

No, I meant what do you think is causing the problem with your car?

I love it when you talk dirty. Say depreciate again.

I agree, the depreciation hit you take with a new one is brutal.

So you buy it a couple of years old with an extended warranty. Expensive ass cars with no resale value ftw. My original invoice says my jag was 68K and some change..... in 1997 ffs.

What I'm saying is a 2007 e63 amg wagon (worth owning) is still 60k whereas an '05 E55 is 20k. It's just the way it goes. Once the new model is out the e63 will get closer to 20k as well. Considering the value of the motor alone, I don't see either bottoming for less than 10k assuming non-salvage. That said, yes, there are a ton of great value cars to be had due to depreciation. Most of them are the non flagship/non limited models from the premium brands.
On the flip side, there are others that are likely to hold a relatively high resale. Take the elise for example. I don't see the market value of a good example dipping below 20k anytime soon... well at least not until someone comes out with a sub-$20k clamshell replacement solution.

Handed the keys over to NF Performance, who promptly bailed me out and got my car up to the new shop. Can't thank these guys enough for how much they've helped me out lately!

Also, never give your keys to Fuji. You will lose. Even if he's only had 3 minutes of seat time in your car, has no clutch available, and has to navigate rush hour traffic. Don't say you were not warned...

So it would appear. His ability to drive the car perfectly under those conditions was awe inspiring. No joke. You can bet your sweet, delicious ass I was watching and listening for any signs of wtf. It was a master class on subtle precision. Seriously, it took me a few months to be able to drive that smooth WITH the clutch, and it's my #$*%ing car!

Made a course on a lake and spent a few hours driving it with friends. A few people stopped and joined in as well. A few ATVs ripped around the course as well as a full size truck.

Here's some dyno graphs (VirtualDyno and Airboy Dyno). They may not be the most accurate but its all I have.

Head Gasket. Also it was jealous of Ben's car. Being an older brother car of his, it is hard to see the young ones excel past your limits. So it did the respectable thing and started to mix oil and metal into the coolant.... and coolant on the spark plugs. Silly cars.

Try taking a pin or paper clip and poke them into the nozzle. Might be dirt from etc in there.
