Well that was a bust. Transmission was completely soaked in ATF and has been out of the car before. rawr.

    The search continues...

As well you should, jerkface! :censored:

I've got an inquiry in on a 2.2 with pretty low mileage for it's age but the service records aren't as good as this guys were... Then again, those service records I was stoked about failed to mention the transmission had already been pulled yet is still pissing all over itself. And the 2.2 is generally more reliable to begin with.

I'll be pretty happy if I can figure out a deal on this one. Strong contender.

Replaced valve cover gaskets and grommets as well as cleaned off some of the old oil from the subframe. No more leaky valve covers!

That must be why most winter tires are rated at 99mph!

tracked down the load rattling to probably the heatshield above the catalytic converter. I may use this as an excuse to install a header and catback.

Ordered a T-stat and A/C dryer today. Going to get the A/C system all sealed up (with new seals) and a new dryer and finally have some A/C in my car this summer! Going to do a cooling system flush and fill along with an engine block heater this week.

A great Saturday for the subie.

Swift sport springs are in... And it went easy (thanks to the abundant amount of PB blaster I sprayed on all of the bolts last night)

Wheels are on (heavy but I like the way they look)

    Oil is changed

Here are some pics from my iPhone, so quality isn't great. I need to have my gf do a photo shoot with her canon rebel here soon.

Currently breaking in the new motor and clutch. Thanks to Ko for the build. Fobia for the welds. Nuke, Roger (Asian guy with his shirt down to his knees :D), Ben, and Ryan for the install help. Thanks Bro for the sweet gaskets.

NF greatness has had me smiling all day. Happy to not be driving the DSM everywhere.

Drove my 190,000 mile bugeye to Texas for tx2k13 loving the reliability of it. Although I now have an extremely bad knock taking off in 1st and 2rd gear. Carrier Berring?

ordered up some Rota G-Force's in black! Same size as stock, I couldn't justify going to 18s since my summer tires have so much life left, I didn't want to blow another 1k on tires today. When those tires are worn I'll probably use the Rota's as winters and upgrade to 18s for the summer. Can't wait to get these things mounted once winter (salt) is over.
