Cleaned my MAF & IAT sensor. Noticed an immediate difference in power, hoping to see a difference in MPG's too.

Upper coolant hose cracked on the way home, coolant everywhere. Car started smoking so i figured had to replace the hose. After new hose car would not start. I think i got too much fluid inside the engine bay so some ground wires got wet. Kind of sucks.

Ripped around town, stopped for coffee at Starbucks to get some "work" done. Didn't do anything but browse forums and take this photo. A girl just showed up in an SVX. Neat.

^Yeah, this is my first Subaru, and didn't know what that whining noise was and let it go on way too long.
After I finally diagnosed the problem, I figured I had a few miles left on it to go pick up the replacement part, apparently I didn't.

This weekend Blackozone and I replaced my timing belt, roller bearings, water pump, clutch, flywheel, O2 sensors, front and rear main seals. It was a battle, especially separating and re-joining the engine from the transmission and shearing a bolt on one of the rollers, but we managed. Knuckles were bloodied and fingernails are stained. So far everything works (finding wood to knock on). Only one missing bolt from reassembly - one from the hood - which, incidentally, was the first one I removed.

Nice. I would suggest taking a 3M kit to those headlights. Should be able to restore them in 30 mins for about $25

    Picked up #14 this weekend....

'03 Outback, 4-cyl, 4EAT, All-weather package (standard in '03). 105k miles, runs awesome, 20k miles on all new brakes, needs tires, and is due for timing belt. Oh yea.......cost me $2k....

Really wanted a 6-cyl for my girlfriend's new DD. But couldn't pass up this deal. Might button up the issues and resell it, might just keep it as it's REALLY nice.

Changed out a ball joint the last few days. Basically everything that could go wrong did..... It was a total pain. Owell well worth the two days of swearing and frustration rather then paying a shop 500 to do it.

Replaced rotors, pads, drums, shoes, regreased slider pins and bled the entire system. It's nice to have brakes that work well and don't drag. I also painted the rotor hats and drum exterior for improved corrosion resistance. Also checked the A/C charge, cleaned the compressor clutch and enjoyed nearly freezing air from my vents in this muggy weather. Not bad for a 97 impreza outback sport, lol. It's been 13 years since I've owned a car with A/C, I missed it and now thoroughly enjoy it!

Took mine for a long drive from the cities to/from Bemidji to visit my friends and students at Concordia Language Villages (yesterday and today). Was the first time I've driven distance on the new motor. Always a beautiful drive!

    I bought it more presents.

AVO rear sway bar mount reinforcement plates, stoptech brake pads, moog endlinks all the way around, energy suspension sway bar bushings.

    Should tighten things up nicely.

Removed the hitch and then Stared at the now janky exhaust that hangs down 4" too far. Anyone have 3 extra stock exhaust hangers I can have? I have long exhaust hangers in case anyone needs any.

Yesterday, I took her racing at DCTC and managed to rip out the front, passenger side fender liner. :( Not a part Walser Subaru keeps on hand, so now I'm waiting for it to come in.

Today I installed an Invidia catless DP, and Kartboy front/rear shifter bushings. I was going to install a Grimmspeed heat shield and realized the brackets are missing. About a week ago, I discovered I had bought my car without a turbo heat shield. I didn't realize the brackets were gone too. So now I'm waiting on brackets. Grr...

And tomorrow I go to RS Motors to have them look at the OBDII port and schedule a tune! :)

On Friday I ordered GrimmSpeed's new TMIC (black thermal coated).

On Saturday I dropped my car off at Chris's for additional clear bra, to tint the tail lights again (had to remove it last fall for a warranty replacement), and for window tint.

Added my name to the list of people who have broken the clip on their extended armrest... and then to top it off, I ran over a thick root in our wonky driveway and got a little scratch on the plastic side skirt... guess it's time to look for some painted ones! :D
