Why do you use his real name and my screen name? Am I just a person on the internet to you? Do I not exist in real life?

    Perrin.

The pics are OEM. I picked up a PERRIN because it was about $25 cheaper then AVO.

This. I didn't realize that your bro joined the forum.

Also, I really do feel like an old man this morning.... stupid f'in electrical clips really got the best of my finger tips last night. And my back from leaning over the engine bay for 8 hours.

I knew the one in the pic was stock 'cause of all the ribbing (for her pleasure) :). After you drive it for a while, please post a follow-up regarding any noticeable differences (faster/ smoother spooling, acceleration. etc).

I will let you know. It is sort of a bad review though... my inlet was not on correct when i put my engine back in. Looks like the bottom of it slid off while we were tightening it back down or adjusting the mainfold. Prior to the engine build my headgaskets were leaking on both sides... so my powerband sucked. So the last time i drove it without an issue my engine was getting slower every day... Now I have a built engine and a different setup. So it won't be a direct compare.

My brother and I built some wooden ramps the other night. Menards did the cuts. We just drilled some pilot holes and nailed them together. Each step is 1 foot. Works great!

Took mine to Cars & Coffee, and then came home, installed hella horns, turbo blanket and finally had success wrestling on Felipe's old Perrin strut bar. Felt very productive! Now if only that wiring harness for my head unit would come in... Great minds think alike. I got my Hellas installed too. I also wrapped some interior parts with the CF vinyl from work. The scratchs were too many to ignore

Installed a KartBoy Short shift lever in the Forester. Yes, I double checked it's the Forester Model, but wow is it short (low)! Peaty says the bushing kit raises things up, but if not, I'm going to have to fab an extension, or at least put a couple of nuts on to raise the shift knob.

On the other hand it feels nicer already: shnick, shnick, shnick.

Uppipe, turbo oil return, and shifter bushings on deck for this weekend. Right now I'm praying the O2 sensor is going to cooperate.

Just did my first ever clutch on my 03 wrx. Went with an excedy oem replacement. It took 2 days and was fairly straight forward. Hardest part was getting the tranny to separate from the engine. Key tricks were lots of swearing and fits of rage jiggling it around.

We used something like this to split the engine and tranny... just a very heavy duty one. It works well if you take your time and make sure to put it in the correct areas (so you don't damage stuff).

Yesterday I installed the Grimmspeed Up-Pipe, and while everything was apart, I test fit the STi intercooler. That's going to require some more thought, I just don't see how I can install that beast without damaging the AC line. But that's a different thread.

Today I finished up by installing the KartBoy shift bushings and sway bar links. The front OEM-style sway bar links were toast, and they're less than... OK just about exactly a year old.

The shift bushings weren't terrible to install, I ended up cutting the shoulder off of the front bushing, and that made it a snap to push through. The rear bushing was harder to install, and I ended up figuring out the trick to bolting it up was to install the passenger side bolt first. The driver's side is easier to get to, so it was easier to push on. It felt like the bolt holes on the new bushing were about a millimeter too narrow. But it's installed, and the initial impression is very good. I'll comment some more after I've test driven it
