going to replace the front rotors here shortly, I've been having a grinding noise developing for awhile but when i had the brakes apart they looked fine outside of a groove on the back of the rotor. kind looks like a rock was/is stuck in the pad somewhere. pads are still good from a thickness stand point, i guess i'll find out.

Its more then likely that grove rubbing on your pads. Does it on my wrx as well.

I was kind of figuring that but rotors weren't terribly expensive so i'll just toss the old ones (still good other than the groove on one) on the shelf as backups

Drove the Lezbowagon as it is called to the auto-x(there was a 2 day). Got in a Honda Civic and auto-x that. First time driving a FWD Car that wasn't a granny car. Got 4th in Raw, 6th in Pax. Only things that beat me were pretty modded STi's. 1.4 seconds from a SM class STi on R-Comps. Guess I'll call it a good showing for my first experience in this car. Hopefully some more in the future. Made me really think about going back to a Nice WRX DD and a older race car.

Subaru of Bloomington replaced my wheel bearing and Subaru of America graciously covered it, even though the car was out of warranty.

Not what I did to it, but with it. Unloaded a load of landscaping brick right in the front yard, then exited to the street via the 45 degree slope and sidewalk. No problem. IMAG0411.jpg

Yeah, that's it. I'm ready to swap over a bunch of the parts any time now. And able to drive thru the yard now that the tree is gone.

Put samco intercooler hose set in. Getting that spring clamp off on the hose going to the turbo inlet really sucked.

Installed new centric rotors all around with StopTech street performance pads and SS brake lines. Bled the system and added new synthetic brake fluid. This was all done the day of DCTC track day last week so I must have done an OK job because I'm here to tell the tale. Bedding brake pads and rotors is a fun task as well! 60 to 10mph using 80-90% stopping power at 2 sets with 10 stops per set. The new lines make the pedal feel noice!

Just got my car back from NF Performance, where they installed Koni strut inserts, stainless steel brake lines, Grimmspeed master cylinder brace and flushed & filled all fluids.

    I'm very pleased.

Broke all of the 19mm strut bolts loose in anticipation of new AGX's & Mach V springs this weekend.

    Those bolts suck.

You are obviously not old enough to have the start of BPH.

I'm beginning to think the Derpwagon has a 70 gallon fuel tank and Derp has a 3 gallon bladder.

What did I do to my subaru today you ask? I stared at it! Day dreaming on how I'd be driving it if everything was working correctly as they should while impatiently waiting for my parts to come in the mail! Uuuurrrrggggg

LOL jk, Sheen does great work. The color looks great too, although it's probably a pain in the rear to detail.

What did you get, like 12 MPG on pump going that fast?
PB Blaster + heat + impact wrench + big friggin breaker bar = win!
I'm looking forward to seeing pics of the MachV's installed. I think you will like that setup, esp with the AGX's.

I left mine parked in the garage and rode the motorcycle to work. Too nice out to drive the cage. After work though, it gets an engine block heater along with a coolant flush and fill, an oil change, and measuring the pipe diameter to see what kind of flange I'll need to weld on so I can bolt up the WRX system I have.

It only took a crap load of PB Blaster/Deep Creep and a breaker bar using the jack handle as a cheater on top of it! Oh ya, and impact sockets seeing as how I broke my Craftsman 19mm.

I have all the parts now, so Saturday will be the install day. Hopefully I have the hard part done and over with by breaking those damn bolts loose.

Forgive me if you've taken your OEM TMIC off before and are aware, but be super careful taking out the rear (closest to the windshield) bolt that hold the TMIC to the Turbo. They are very often cross threaded from the factory and with all the expansion/ contraction it's a nightmare. I broke the head off mine, then I spent a day first trying to extract the broken bolt then drilled it out. If you do happen to break it, just drill it out and don't worry about the threads, i just put a smaller bolt with a washer on then threw a nut on the bottom.

Oh yeah, I forgot I did this last night. I was tired of all the scratches I was getting on my rear strut bar so I wrapped it in some CF vinyl I had

And, GrimmSpeed top mount. Im going to wrap the sides in heat wrap to help that much more

Didn't eve know they made a rear strut bar for the 08+. Does it sit below the cargo area cover and does it still lay flat?
