Finally put these kartboy endlinks in and thank god it made the horrible clunking go away!!
Although now that I don't hear the clunk I can hear another funny noise, I think one of my engine mounts is broken...
Here is what on looked like installed. I got the spacers because I have whiteline sways but I only needed them for the top to make it fit best.

Sorry for the orientation, my phone is dumb.

Winters wheels/tires went on yesterday. During the installation I discovered my exhaust coupler sheered one of the CV boot clamps on the boot. FUN

Cryo rotors and dd pads all around for the LGT. Swapped the winter wheels on as well.

Surprised its not a completely clapped out rolling tetanus hazard like most subarus. 4 corners went decently quick (100min start to finish).

Might wash and wax it but need to finish some things up on the 911 first.

Yikes. I'm glad that I caught my low compression before this happened. Did you have any indications of oil burning, loss in power, etc prior to catastrophic failure?

Yeah, it's been using oil for months and months and recently had gotten worse. I was already putting an engine together, it just would've been nice to be able to drive it till I was ready (~2 more weeks).

Yeah, when I'm done I'll have forged pistons and rods, Killer B pickup & a stronger clutch - hopefully it'll go a lot of miles worry-free. :)

    For sure!

PS - I noticed from one of your other posts that you're on E-85. I would recommend getting your injectors cleaned and tested while they are out. Mine sat for a month and one was pretty clogged. If you ever make it down to the cities, Full Blown in Apple Valley tests and cleans and normally turns them around the same day.

installed a grill craft hood scoop grill. It's kinda been wide open since I went FMIC and removed all the plastic air splitter parts. Looks a little more put together now. I also picked up a set of TGV deletes, thanks again Johnny.

Used a rinseless wash on my car for the first time today. Space heater in the garage and a bucket of warm, soapy water. Car looks great and I didn't freeze! I'll get this cold weather thing yet. :)

"I" won't be doing it :), but I'll have it done late winter or spring at the same time I'll have them do injectors, fuel pump, air pump delete, and a new inlet hose.

I am mechanically inclined and could a lot more myself if I had the tools and space. TGVs/ taking off the manifold off is something I would not attempt on my own regardless :).

Im not a fan of mid-week, nighttime solo installs but I had to take advantage of this nice 50 degree night.

Considering snow is right around the corner, I had to get this done. I have no patience and wouldn't be able to wait until spring

    Installed:
    - Beatrush transmission mount
    - Whiteline gearbox positive shift kit
    - Cusco short antenna

Man this transmission mount is stout! 6lbs! Here it is compared to the stock STi mount.

Filled up with 91 instead of e85.. felt way more of a difference than I expected. Back to the e85 next. The increased wear on my starter is worth it. :)

Mountain biking in the snow, eh? How'd that go?
What do you think of the beatrush compared to stock? I have you driven any cars with the group n?
Nice! Where are you snowboarding already? I'm going to next weekend in Colorado...can't wait.

No just my original stock one. I heard the group n will eventually get squishy. The only way the beatrush will get squishy is if the car explodes and melts it. It's literally a hunk of metal.

The engine sound isn't nearly as bad as the reviews say. I have the kart boy shifter shifter bushings so it is slightly louder than that. It sounds so nice. I drove to work and shut my radio off so I could hear the transmission work. It just sounded awesome.

I picked up my new front and rear brake pads from NF, as well as a trip gauge pod housing from MnSnodrifter. Now to get it all in- (that's what she said)-stalled!
