Rear ended an uninsured driver pretty lightly because they decided to damn near stop to turn into a parking lot on a 45 mph road.. Still going to cost me a small fortune no matter how light it was.

Almost got to the point of acting upon that awful fuel smell in the car. Unfortunately, I think that the only recall has been 02-03. Does replacing the fuel lines make a difference? Or, any ideas of a ballpark cost to switch to the braided lines?

I'm almost there too...it's driving me nuts! Not sure about the cost of BL's, but i was informed that Perrin fuel rails work with new lines to resolve the issue and that they're around $180.00.

Mine were also replaced for the recall. But when cold the smell is terrible! Makes for a long drive to work.

    Sorry to see that.

What makes your muffler illegal? Didn't you buy it a green card?
I hear in wisco if the officer determines your hood scoop is too big, you can get a ticket for that.

I drove over what I assumed to be some nails/screws left over in the drive from either my pops or the construction crew that was at my house last week and now I get to buy 4 new tires.

Oh sorry, it was all just a warning.

It was actually the same State Trooper who pulled me over earlier in the year immediately after leaving work.

He wasn't too concerned over any of that last time (other than my exhaust, which was my very favorite... the Greddy Ti-C).

My Perrin exhaust is not loud at all. I think it must be one of the quieter hatch exhausts out there. You can hear the annoying transmission over it. I was cruising at 25 mph.

My tint is somewhere around 35%, so it's actually fully legal in the rear - it just happened to be cloudy and the car was salty. It certainly wasn't "so dark he couldn't see inside at all".

Front license plate... Well yeah, okay.

No Proof of Insurance? It was sitting on my counter because I got rear ended a couple days before and needed to deal with insurance stuff. I had four expired cards with all the same policy information on them in my glovebox... No dice. Who drives an STi without insurance anyways?

Edit: I also had to explain what my AccessPort was after being asked less-than-politely.

^^well you're lucky that you got away with all warnings! I think some officers just have it out for any modded cars...all probably because a few jack offs have treated officers disrespectfully in years past and tarnished the image for all of us. I'm not saying you were acting like a jack off though!

    Give respect, get respect.

Replaced my cabin air filter, 23k on it and it was pretty dirty.

Now trying to figure out the best way to get rid of my damn spolier again (carbon lid was fun but is not practical in my situation). So I'll remove it and put vinyl dots over the mounting holes. Maybe vinyl wrap the whole lid this spring. Idk :(

Keep an eye on base Impreza for sale ads on Craigslist...might get lucky and find someone who's willing to swap before they sell their car. Tell them it will make their car worth waaaaay more $$$ :)

^I researched this last summer, a complete trunk lid kit for a WRX (wingless) was $450 (no paint, just prime) and color matching would bring it to just over a grand from Minnetonka Suburu.

Yesterday we had fun on a lake. Oh, and I broke a fog light lens. Well worth the price to have that much fun.

    Late edit:
Credit to @emiliorescigno for the baller video! He had the Lego wagno

Nope, Pickerel in Nowthen. Total of 5-6' deep across the entire thing. No good for fishing since it's so shallow, but perfect for shenanigans. They rinks you see in the video were for ice bikes, they were out earlier last week.

Man, you guys give me too much credit- y'all think I'm all organized and stuff! Nah, this was just a couple of buddies screwing around for fun. ha ha

I would encourage anyone who hasn't done this kinda thing to find an event and go to it- it's a blast and a half. I did it last year with the lego, but thee hakkas and wrx power make it so much more enjoyable to be random, especially in the thicker snow.

Old Whitey turned over 200K today, hard to believe I've put almost 82K on the old girl. I'm hoping to get another 50K at least after I fix the leaking seals between the front diff and tranny that's causing the diff to leak gear lube into the tranny and do the timing belt again.

Came out to my car after school today to find an awesome door ding above my rear wheel on the drivers side.. Went and got an estimate and to paintless dent repair it, will cost me about 300$! Just a ****ter on my day.. Time to start looking for a daily driver so my subaru doesn't take the abuse from dumb school kids..

Or park out behind the white, im sorry west building by the lunchroom/ gym.. Sort of by those softball fields.. That might help prevent door dings, iirc there's some spots that you have to parallel park, that'd be ideal

Drove to 2 different Holiday Stations to try and "zip" through the carwash...everyone and their uncle is out to get a carwash this morning I guess. Sometimes that pass is tough when I have the most stereotypical work schedule so every time I like to try to get a wash, there is a long line.

Lets see, these were a few days ago but here goes: Carwash, tranny flush, power steering flush, sucked the fluid out of the clutch reservoir and replaced that. Cleaned as much dirt out of my engine bay as I could. A couple weeks back was new pads, rotors, and replaced a seized caliper, AEM Dryflow air filter, then new tires. A couple weeks before that was timing. Tried to get my LCAs off yesterday, but couldn't due to a stripped hex bolt hole on the end links (didn't know that at the time), so I brought her to NF to have new poly bushings installed. Hopefully picking her up soon!!

I tried to poke through with a steel rod, but once I was over a foot down I wasn't worried anymore. That was about 10' off of the landing with about 4" of snow still on top of the ice.

I bought a code Friday and I haven't used it yet due to the lines. I think I've driven past at least half a dozen times and it's always a 30+ min wait.

Watched a 3/4'' chip in the windshield go to about 2 1/2' in a matter of five minutes... time for a new windshield. Luckily insurance covers that no problem!
