IMG_1101.JPG An interesting journey to get these wheels and tires to work, but the price I paid made them worth it (I didn't want to spend a ton of money on a winter setup) thanks to @Squiggly for the assistance...

My wife broke her finger with the Subaru today. Getting out at Target, I was dropping her and her brother off at the door to go try and find a decent parking spot (and maybe wander to Home Depot quick...) and as the door shut, heard a crunch, then a yell, and then saw a very wrongly bent finger. 4 hours later, done at the ER, and back home with a broken ring finger.

Believe it or not, there was no blood! However it was totally bent in an unnatural way! She was way tougher than I would ever be. Not even a single tear, and was still able to tell her directionally challenged husband how to get to the hospital. Haha. Tried to upload a photo of the Xray, but image size problems... Now she has her very own custom splint!

I almost always make my wife walk in with me from the deep, dark depths of the parking lot. Sorry to hear of your wife's pain and agony. Guess you will be cooking Christmas dinner.

Ended up getting my Fumoto quick drain valve for Christmas from my sister! Pretty pumped about it. It will go in next oil change! Any thoughts on the little rubber nipples that you can get to go over the drain? Would it be worth ordering one because of all the winter junk? The other thing I thought about was getting some marine hose to further direct the draining oil (only thought of it because of the packaging indicating that it fits).

Make sure it's not on recirculation. My car did the same thing briefly after I had the ac recharged. The shop must have switched it to recirculation and I didn't notice .

On top of what Cotts said. make sure your heater core isn't leaking as that just introduces more moisture/humidity to the cabin.

Wet floor mats and/or wet carpet will also cause this. Also clean the inside of your windows really well.

Also, to help soak up the interior moisture, put a couple trays of rice or silica gel inside the car and leave it there overnight - a warmer night would work best.

As long as the nipple is shooting where you want it (when it drains the oil), I wouldn't worry about the rubber. I'd only use the rubber hose if you want to re-direct the flow of the draining oil.

Mounted my winters. Only $20 at Costco if they are bare rims as a "seasonal change" $40 if there are mounted tires already[IMG]

I just installed them on all of our vehicles. Kinda pumped for the next oil changes, actually. Just bummed I have to wait now.

Anywho, you say "order" as if this rubber thing you want is something special. Go to your closest part store and get a pack of them. Can't remember exactly what they're named, but they come in a variety pack of sizes/colors and are usually used for capping vacuum lines and such.

I'm fairly certain the size that worked on mine was 3/8" if you didn't want to have a pile of extras lying around. However, they do come in quite handy when doing other stuff (separating fuel lines, etc.).

Edit - not sure if you're talking a cover that goes over the entire thing, thus protecting the moving parts, or not. A nipple cover only protects the nipple of course.

took apart the entire drive side front chasing a clunking noise I'm hearing when going 40mph or faster. sounds like a damaged axle but the axle has less than 1000 miles on it and looks and feels fine.

Swapped out my stock catback with a Nameless Performance one. It's probably the loudest exhaust I've owned.

It looks and sounds great, but it's a little much. Way more than I expected.

Was going to take my '16 Wrx in to have my HU looked at today. The Bluetooth has not been working for about 2 weeks now. I have tried everything i could even think of with no luck. Sure enough, went to drive to the gym this morning....Bluetooth magically working. I read every where how terrible the stock HU is on this car, and that is still not even close to how bad it really is

considering I drove from St. cloud to Victoria to Maple grove and discovered the missing studs at a holiday in Minnetonka I was happy it hadn't broken loose and taken someone out.

for some reason, 2 of 5 lugs on every wheel were loose when I checked after replacing all 5 of the studs. I suspect it boils down to either my last tire rotation or someone that's going to be missing some teeth if i catch them with a lug wrench in my parking lot.

Put a Pioneer 4100NEX in my wife's Outback to match the unit in my WRX. I felt guilty having it in my car, while the she suffered with the stock unit. :)

The welds on mine are beautiful, the service was exemplary, and the prices were very competitive. To boot, it's all custom heat-bent tubing. No issues here. From what I overheard while I was in there, tho, sometimes they let customers have things done that the shop advises the customer against, but "the customer always gets a 'yes'..." so if a customer thinks they know best...YRMV.

I came to that conclusion rather quickly. They are exhaust specialists after all. I judged their quality of workmanship to be superior to Midas et al, while the prices were comparable or better. I also received several positive recommendations in favor of TCE.

Man do I ever love those wheels! I will definitely own a set at some point. There's a white Ford Fiesta (new one) around Minneapolis with those mounted and it looks sweeet.

I also think its the ppl they had working for them at that time. Plus the problem my buddy had with them was on a Lincoln mark 8 so clearence is tight getting headers on that car too. I took my forester to Performance Muffler and Brake in Blaine to put the flowmaster that I had on my wrx that I sold my dad and he said it was too loud so he had the flowmaster cut off for the stock muffler. They cut the exhaust that I had on the forster off and made a piece to connect to the flowmaster and it only cost $75 for them to do it.

I had DB Performance throw on my Kartboy shifter and bushing on Monday. Took the tech a little longer than expected since it was his first time, but they gave me a deal by only charging me for an hour. Anyone with a 15+ WRX, I highly recommend picking it up if you haven't yet. Shifts are at least 40% shorter as advertised, and much crisper. I love how it feels now.
