I had a great experience at TCE with my beater Passat as well, which had a cracked stainless flex in the header. They were able to replace it without dropping the header from the engine, which is what other shops wanted to do for a lot more money. The tech cut the flex out, welded in stainless flanges on each side of the exhaust and added matching flanges on the new stainless flex, and even rattle-canned it all with POR-15. I was impressed that they had all these stainless pieces in stock. Also I thouht the total price was reasonable compared.

Russ installed it. I would assume it is an Amazon or eBay light. He posted a video in his build thread.

It may have, but it was still WELL taken care of by Russ. I would never hesitate to buy a vehicle owned by him!

[IMG] wife's new wheels. Now, she wants it lifted and wants me to weld up a light bar for it. Ugh women so demanding. @housemusic1 for the sweet deal on them

My thoughts exactly, I was looking for a well taken care of 09+ FXT. Mishaps aside this vehicle has been very well taken care of.

    Is your wife a "bro"?
And why does anybody need a light bar on a daily driver? Really not understanding this new fad.

Ordered her a "shorty" antenna, and got some good miles in running errands. I have not been driving her much beyond my regular commute, so it was nice to get some good seat time in today; even if it was just cruising around town!

    Alright so I did a thing ...

Because I got frustrated looking for a 2009 Impreza GT cluster I bought this, a 2008 Impreza 2.5i cluster. I only want the faceplate from it, maybe needles but they also look orange so I'm kinda bummed about that but its not that big of a deal ... I don't think ... anyways it was much easier than I thought to take this apart. The tough part is going to be getting up the courage to pry apart my working cluster in my car. End result I had in mind is all white numbers and red-ish needles.

It has all the same warning and misc. lights as my 09 FXT sans the "SPORT" light which I can live without and the headlight indicator light. Again, I can live without.

Well I took the car out tonight to see how the new headlights look. They are pretty level. They will only need a little bit of adjusting to get them level. Yup you know that there is a BUT coming. I am less than pleased with the beam pattern. Many people talk about and use UK spec headlights and must really not give a crap. But my headlights point right towards the oncoming traffic. How bad not too sure yet but I don't like it! I will get out and adjust them to try and make them work better. However I think there might be a retro fit for the low beam projectors.

No pics, because now it's dark, but I finally got my stereo installed to the point of being able to call it "installed." Ran power, remote wire and RCAs tot the truck and hooked up a 12" R-F sub, actually ran the microphone wire up through the A-Pillar to the headliner and put all the trim pieces back in.

Still need to tap into the OBD2 connector for the Maestro RR, but I don't think I'm missing much there anyhow.

All it took to get a decent radio into a 2016:

Kenwood DDX-9902S Carplay/Android Auto head unit
    iDatalink Maestro-rr vehicle interface
SiriusXM SXV300v1 Connect Vehicle Tuner Kit for Satellite Radio
Rockford Fosgate P300-12 Punch 300 Watt Powered Loaded 12-Inch Subwoofer Enclosure
Metra 99-8907HG Single DIN Dash Kit for Select 2015- Subaru Impreza and Crosstrek Vehicles (Black)
    Metra 40-LX11 Antenna Adaptor Cable - Select 2009-Up Lexus/Toyota
Metra 70-1761 Radio Wiring Harness For Toyota 87-Up Power 4 Speaker
(2pr) Metra 72-8104 Speaker Connector for Select Toyota Vehicles
Lightning Audio 8 Gauge Ga Awg Amplifier Installation Wiring Amp Kit
Rerii 1 Meter 3ft 3.5mm & USB AUX Extension Dash Flush Panel Mount Cable
SMAKN Dc/dc Converter 12v Step Down to 6V/3A Power Supply Module
(2pr) Infinity Reference REF6502ix 6.5 Inch Car Audio Speaker Pair
(2pr) DEI 050330 Boom Mat 6.5" Round Speaker Baffle
    (1pr) car-speaker-adapters.com SAK032 Speaker Adapters
    (1pr) car-speaker-adapters.com SAK065 Speaker Adapters
Lots of misc wire, an RCA cable, lots of soldering, shrink wrap and spiriral wire wrapping.
2'x2' 3M Scotchprint 1080 Brushed Black Metallic vinyl (to hide the craptastic finish on the Metra dash kit).

    Bought but not yet installed:
    (1pr) car-speaker-adapters.com SAK009 Speaker Adapters
(1pr) Infinity REF-075TX 3/4 Inch Textile Dome Tweeters

Bought But Not used in the end:
Metra 95-8905B Double DIN Dash Installation Kit for Select 2012-Up Subaru Impreza Vehicles (Black)
    3M Scotchprint Series 1080 Gloss Black Vinyl Car Wrap Film Sheet Roll - 3M1080 - 1ft x 1ft (sq/ft) (12in x 12in)
2015 SUBARU WRX OEM Radio/Climate Trim
(1pr) Metra 72-8104 Speaker Connector for Select Toyota Vehicles (Tweeters do not use the same connectors as the other speakers)
2015 Subaru WRX OEM Center Vent Trim

Not adding the cost of all that up! Too damn much!

Still cheaper than upgrading to the (not much more loved than the 6.2 base) 7" Harmon-Kardon factory option.

I finished the carbon fiber dash pieces. New frp with carbon fiber overlay installed. Installed a new Perrin intake tube while fixing the fuel lines and intake manifold leak. The new Morette headlights are installed and wired up and working how ever I need to remove them to switch them to Us spec's.

Threw on the roof rack, fairing and ski rack on Friday before heading up to Lutsen for a Cloud Cult show, and to ski of course. Picked up some friends in Duluth and got 2 boards and another set of skis on there! Glad I had the winters on coming home Sunday night. Roads were treacherous the whole way south on 35. Cars were in the ditches everywhere.
