Thanks!! One of the best mods I put on the car. I go out in the sticks up by Remer in the fall for deer and the roads have no lighting at all. I had initially looked at a light bar, but wanted something more discreet, so came across this grille at SubiSpeed. I have the lights aimed towards the peripheries when I light up my high beams to look for the points of light reflected back from the deer eyes.
Gave her a proper bath, vac, oil & filter change... She will be up for sale in a month or so once I get the wagon tuned!
I'll set up a mini " Bugeyepalooza" when the area in front of the shop drys out, right now I'd probably loose one to the quicksand driveway! haha!
Unfortunately Josh got rid of his, but I'm sure there are a few others on here that would still like to get together and get a pic of all of our "classics". Haha.
I was talking a pic of just his collection. I’m surprised that you have enough driveway for them all mang!! Lol
I have plenty of blacktop driveway out here in the country... but the area between the house and shop collects the melt and is soup now. Going to French drain it when the shop addition gets underway... another 1200 sq ft of space for parking the fleet indoors
First time getting the car out in the sun. Replaced the cam plate and going for a test drive. Maybe even a car wash.
Replaced another coil pack and put on the summer tires. Went for a short, leisurely cruise to feel it out. Nice to be riding a little more firm again.
Found some oil on the garage floor, started feeling around, I guess it's coming from the oil pan drain plug. Read that it's common that the washers have to be changed out every so often or they start leaking. Looks like that's next on my to-do list.
I change mine every other oil change with my Wagon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001SNRGA...olid=259BO8T6OCESG&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
Gave it the first wash of the year last night. Still needs finer attention but got rid of the majority of the winter filth.
Wife hit a deer with the Legacy this evening, didn't do much but still sucks. From what I can see so far just some scratches on the bumper and roof, couple chips on the hood, and it'll need a new fender and headlight. Was looking at a dirty car in the dark though so there might be a little more to it.
It's a shame you don't know any good body shops. Assuming she's alright. Sorry to hear about the car, tho.
Lol yeah I don't think I'll have any problems there. And it really isn't too bad, just cosmetic for the most part. Worst of the damage is the right fender, few large dents towards the front. Rest of it is mostly scratches.
Got my new beater (311k mile '00 Outback) together last night, and drove it to work today. Good to be rowing gears again! Put the cheapest no-name eBay clutch I could find in it. It was less than $70, listing branded as a Mitsosuka or something like that. It's got "Valeo" stamped all over the disc, came with the repair sleeve for the throwout bearing. Everything fit great, and initial impressions are very good! Brake pedal is kind of spongy, I'm going to start by cleaning/lubing the pins, and flushing some fresh fluid through it. Might swap the Duralast Gold rotors and Duralast GT pads from my XT6 onto it...but probably not.
nope, Minnesota car for all the history I know of (purchased new in Rochester, original owner had a recall done with 145k miles at the same dealer. And the guy I bought it from has had it for about 100k). It's got more than a little rust. Rear quarters are nasty, big holes hidden behind the rear doors, rusty around the roof rail mounts (even leaks some water into the headliner when it rains). I suspect the thing that'll kill it is the rear subframe failing. But, it is in remarkably good shape
So far they're amazing DD tires. Very comfortable, not a lot of road noise and they handle very well in corners. My biggest complaint is the super soft sidewall. When I'm going straight the tires make my car almost "glide". Other than that I love them so far. I'll see how well they work in the winter time; if it snows before I move.
Got her all cleaned up for the CTS Big Meat this Saturday. The new Grocery vinyls I made had me LOLing (is that how the kiddos say it?).
