Lol. I was hoping for this coming week. But the highs are pretty low next week as well. Guess they’ll go on in June?
Mine might handle a little snow. I am very bad at negotiating, and people tend to sell me on stuff I don't necessarily want. Anyhow, the tires are a Discount Tire exclusive Continental sport A/S.
All seasons? You’ll be fine! I put my summers on once a little too early. We got a 1/2 inch of snow and ended up sideways into a curb. Luckily I only damaged the wheel. But it was the last time that i ran summers when it was too cold!
When mom's away and I think I can get my parking brake shoes replaced while the kids play nicely outside turns into "where are my tools?"
Lmao! It always “seems like a good idea”. I like how he’s sticking the sockets into the sidewalk chalk. A good blend of mine and dad’s My little pit crew is the same result.
Got some new rubber! Toyo Celsius 225/65/17 Edit: will have OEM 2014 FXT wheels and tires with some life left as well as a set of blizzaks for sale soon ...
Changed out the spark plugs yesterday. They weren't in too bad of condition after visual inspection. Also cleaned the MAF sensor (used MAF cleaner) while I was in there.
Swapped to a Legacy GT cluster over the weekend. My buddy had a bunch that he was gonna throw away, so I snagged one haha. Speedo doesn't work, but that's a common issue with this generation Legacy. Nothing an hour and some solder won't fix. So bright at night!!
Named Ketchup by our 3-year-old, but thought the same thing, and it works perfectly! They are more plasticy than rubbery.
Downsizing the fleet my friend. Sold the Escalade last week and I’m selling my car in addition to the Camaro. We have owned each of these vehicles for at least 10 years. At this point in our life we are trying to get down to two vehicles. Last Saturday we bought a newer Silverado crew cab. Hanging on to the WRX. Love that car!
Upgraded my clock gauge pod to an ATI unit courtesy of @ThePartsGuy and added a carbon trim bezel to it for a cleaner look (and a matching one for the speedo cluster). Also painted the trim rings on the gauges themselves because they were 3 different colors and it always bothered me. Before and after...
Is that a carbon fiber back plate in your gauge cluster? Don’t think that i’ve see that before. And the gauges look much better now! I like your attention to detail, hahaha. Where did you score the “lighter” cap? Junkyard?
Yes it is, wanted all the original and aftermarket gauges to match. Looked everywhere for a real cf trim but this was the only thing I could find, a "3D" carbon-patterned vinyl one. Still looks decent. And the 12v outlet cover I grabbed from a random car at a salvage yard, can't even remember what it came from now.
Weather is finally getting where i can “trust” it. Summer shoes went on! Time to go try out these Hankooks!
I'm in the, what seems to be annual now, scrambling to find some slightly used summer tires because mine are shot and I'm still on snows stage.
I realized the other day I never installed the black trim ring onto my ignition cylinder after my car was broken into years ago, so naturally had to change it up a bit and installed the red LGT ignition ring
Not my Subaru, but I finally finished painting the Hyundai today! I can't wait to try out 3Ms new 8000 grit sand paper and 2 step compound to turn this basic paint job into something decent.
Some weird brand that I never heard of before. "5 star clear coat". It came with the gallon kit I bought online. I was going to shave the rear emblem, but I didn't have enough time to shape and weld a plate in the recess and fill it with fiberglass filler. I ended up just painting the god awful "Genesis wings" that the PO gave to me.
Brought her home yesterday. Driving her today. Bought a rear wiper blade and Silverstar low beam bulbs.
I rolled a bunch of miles! I guess I better get the valve lash adjusted soon. Been meaning to do that for a while now.
