That's fair. I do the same on my Outback with rotted pinch welds. Having a rust free pinch weld gives me a peace of mind while putting the stands there. Everyone's got their own system

This weekend I pulled off the turbo front subframe for our 2.2 racecar project from my parts car. Today I'm installing new swaybar bushings and kartboy endlinks on my (wife's) 05 WRX. Planning on cleaning up the subframe this week and then maybe we can get going on making the 2.2 driveable.

Installed my new F+R dash cams and hardwired them along with my V1. Didn't do it today, but I 2 step paint corrected and did 2 coats of CQuartz Ceramic Coat. Wish I got some good pictures in the sun. JBP looks intense full gloss.

Put the Subaru side window visors on today. Damn these look good. Best style I've ever seen. So easy to install.
I tried the ones that sit in the window channel on this 2016, and those sucked big time. Those were a complete waste of money. These Subaru OEM ones are the best. Worth the money.
Trying to clean up this subframe. Got all the big scales off. Any suggestions on how best to protect from further rust? I was planning on hitting it with some rusty metal primer then a new coat of black enamel.
Nah, cover your whole hand and you wont need new gloves for weeks. I sat and carefully removed all the white wax build up the previous owner had on the car. Car looks far less scratched now but still needs some dent removal and bumpers/scoop resprayed
Snagged a factory spoiler for $20 last weekend. Bolted it on last night and took off my roof basket just to see how it looks. Kinda digging it. Hated how smooth the rear end was without the basket.

When I scrolled down I thought there was going to be a post on dry ice blasting. I just watched a YouTube video on it for cleaning engines. I think it was by AMMO.
Put the 8" tip and some new brakes on the blue one recently and went and hooned it all weekend at Powercruise. Didn't have any issues this year and actually managed to win a few "races" while we were at it.
My dad came over and forced me to finish the veloster rebuild and the TDI DPF/EGR delete. My son helped supervise. (Wrx maintenance next weekend)
