I have always hated the fender depth gap on the BRZ. I have personally never run spacers on a vehicle before. But these were such a good price, I couldn’t say no! Thank you California Cole! @pleiades

I was super happy with the wheels I had on my BRZ when I had it.

Currently all mine do is look cute and eat more than their body weight. On the other hand they do get pumped every-time I get the Bugeye out so that's a plus.

Today, while taking my kiddo to get her braces off, I inadvertently found out that my BRZ is slower than an Ioniq 5. Pfffft, electric cars. They are like life sized RC cars.

You're very welcome brother, glad to see you (at some point) putting them to use. Also that reminds me I haven't posted in quite a while. Few updates to share on my BRZ, I picked up a lightly used set of Tein Flex A coilovers and got those installed. Changed my brakes and added adjustable rear LCA's while I had it apart. All went pretty well aside from one seized cam bolt that needed to be cut. Also finally got a new tire/wheel setup, hence the rehoming of the spacers. RPF1's in 17x8 +35 and Yokohama Advan Apex V601 in 225/45. Center caps and decals for the wheels were found on Etsy. Looks and drives great, all the old stuff was getting pretty worn out.

Nope, those are OEM. Black nameplates, fender vents, and mirror caps were all part of the series.hyperblue trim.

I can live without the black mirrors, but I would have taken the rest of it on the series blue. Not sure why they didn’t do all of the limited runs that way. But either way the series.hyperblue was the most limited!

We'll see... I am worried a bit about how 'hard pan' they are vs the base STi seats (which are just dolled up WRX seats). They say, not great for long road trips. But I need to stop sliding side to side in the seat on the way to work.

Not quite new. I was told about 10k on them and pulled for aftermarket seats. No accident. Almost "overnight" from Rochester. Drove down to meet a guy and stayed in a ramp for over 2 hours while the storm passed.

This is the third set of STi seats I've had. I have a 2012 STi interior swap in the 08 WRX, had the two from STi seats on my 09 Forester and now the Recaro seats going into my 15 XT.

I acquired an 05 FXT about a year ago and my god are the front seats atrocious compared to the bugeye WRX seats. Just flat as hell and not comfortable, at least for me. Not sure what I'll do to fix it yet, if I ever do.

One done. Will drive it around a bit before I swap the other. That one has two sensors that need to move over.

Do bad o2 sensors normally look like this? Didn't throw a code until I was messing with the SRS. Swapped with new sensor, didn't see a code on the BT reader.

So hyper. Much blue. (out of date meme)

    Depends on what you're drinkin'.

Well, after thinking about it for over a decade, I just put down a deposit for an allocated 2025 BRZ. WRB Limited.

Did plugs today.... and COPs, cuz I was in there. Not cheap but not going back in for a long time. That bottom right plug looks a little dark. Running smooth now.

Crap... it's better now... but now I have to pay $600 for the parts. Could have been a $110 repair or it could have been twice the work. Could have been plugs twice then wait to get the COPs later. So... I'm grateful for the $600 bill....? ooof.

Unfortunately we had to put one of our cats down recently. She was about 16 years old and was really having a hard time breathing lately and you could tell she was tired and exhausted...

On a positive note, my wife's Outback drives WAY better now after the cat died. It's crazy how much that thing was killing performance. She's been complaining recently that "it just won't go...". I test drove it after work one day and it was really a struggle to even get up to 60. It was surging through all the gears and just would not go. Ended up taking the mid pipe out (it contains the secondary cat and doesn't have any sensors in it), cutting the pipe right behind the second cat, and beat the hell out of it with a straight pry bar and hammer. Hollowed it completely out and welded the pipe back together. Seriously feels like a completely different car now and we didn't even have to spend any money. Yeehaw.
