I would be more than willing to try that but the tricky part here is that the odometer light doesn't work. This happened on the way to work so I had to stop on a side street and turn the dome light on. Already way more difficult than it needs to be... Haha.

I miss the posts about curb strikes and suspension damage after a fresh snowfall. I refuse to seek that entertainment on Facebook though.

I think the median age/demographic of the users remaining here is probably too high for such tomfoolery. Haha.

Subtle, but I do love a smoked tail light.

Picked up a minty 2020 WRX exhaust today. Had less than 8k on it. Sweet deal. Gonna swap out the mid pipe on the XT (probably in the spring.)

I have some for my XT, but don't want to put them in until the radio comes back out again. Dang bezel is tied to the AC/vent controls. I have a sub to add, so I'll wait till warmer weather.

Are the stock ones red? But these are LED? I noticed that the interior door well lights in the STi that I purchased were red the first night that I drove it. Didn’t know if the PO added them, or if it was OEM.

edit: never mind, just noticed that it’s a comparison pic! My eyes were so drawn to the LED side that I didn’t even notice the other side. lol. Noticeable difference indeed!

I noticed the other side right away, but I also didn't realize it was a comparison. I just assumed it was installed differently on the passenger side... Haha.

lol yeah, the stock ones are red too.

The glove compartment and the center console cubby are like a dimmed off white, I swapped those too and now it’s super bright!

also install is so simple, no need to pull the center console for anything except the center console cubby obviously. the footwell ones you can access from under the dash, just twist out the old, pop off and replace.

lol yeah, it’s pretty subtle. I had never really had feelings about strut tower bars. I can’t imagine the rigidity is something I’ll notice ever as I don’t track. But it looks nice and was 150$ on marketplace so I said to heck with it. lol

engine bay is pretty much done now. Maybe some radiator hoses and a turbo inlet, but only if they start to show wear, or they pop up on marketplace.

Nope. I had to cut one off last summer. Took forever. Both bolts had to be cut on this one.

It's been a while! Not much has happened over the last 2~ years, but I had to replace my tires AGAIN as Samaritan wasn't able to adjust the toe in the rear with my STi lateral links. Ended up buying some rustlines to get it fixed and invested in a nice set of CrossClimate2s. 10/10 tires and the winter grip is insane even with 0" of clearance. I managed to convince my GF to get the same tires on her Forester after I tinted it. She's happy and I'm happy :)

Just hit 261k on the XT, and I finally needed to do plugs/(2) coilpacks. She has gotten up there in mileage since I went back to college. I'm doing over 100 miles a day, doing a circle loop around the cities on 694/494. I'm amazed to still get 20-24 mpg with a few extended pulls.

That kind of mileage is wild! Congrats! I remember driving back from Wisconsin one day and my clock bezel said average of 30mpg and I was so elated. now I’m on e85 full time and getting like 13-14mpg

Added some extra lighting for the hatch. I've always been frustrated by the lack of light back there.

Took the 2019 Forester in for a new coolant bypass valve. Yes recall, covered. Got a loaner, covered. Ordered a CVT flush while it's there, $$$. At least coolant and tranny are done. Now to order spark plugs.

Plugs are incredibly expensive to have done. I was actually surprised when I did mine last, it's not as much of a PITA as you'd imagine. was still not awesome. but not terrible.

P3 gauges with the ethanol sensor kit, hardwired to the ethanol sensor. these things are pretty slick. For some reason I just really hate the look of an AP.... I know they can do more and show more at the same time but it just looks stupid to me. like pillar gauges and super tall shift knobs. just irks me. This looks clean and OEM + IMHO

Haha. The newest car we own is 10 years older than that thing.

I do appreciate the plethora of sixes, tho. Do it again in 3,030 more miles?
