What did you do to your subaru today?

What I have seen him do in the past is ease into the throttle and slowly work it up to near redline (if he can) and then go from there as more than likely he needs info before he works his magic.

I put six wheels on it.

Worried about possible caliper clearance issues on the front, I put the first of my black Rotas on the front passenger side. It fit like a charm, so I put the other front one on. Then went to the back, and found out that the tyres are too wide. WTF? These wheels fit my old RS just fine. So I had to put back on the same three wheels I'd just taken off. Grrrrr.

Moral of the story is; 17x7.5 +48 Rotas shod with 225/45-17 Falken Azenis RT-615 tyres do NOT actually fit on the back of a Type-RA with stock suspension.

Looks like the coilovers will be going on sooner than expected.

By the way, it looked totally sweet with the black wheels. I wasn't sure it'd work, but I think I actually prefer it to the bronze. Who'd'a thunk it ?

Just an update. My car is back to a stage 1 tune on the little ole TD04. It actually feels good for the most part. :laugh:

Yeah, I sure miss being able to hit the gas in 5th gear at 55mph and pull hard around traffic without downshifting, but this isn't that bad. :hsugh:

Biggest thing I need to get used to is the absence of noise. Stock exhaust/muffler is incredibly not cool I miss my Cobb:emo:

I put my PF quick release bolts on my rear strut bar today! Now I won't need two wrenches (or even one...) when I want to haul my drums to a gig.

 

oil change and car wash outside.

 

tranny fluid change and rear diff.

 

Started tearing down the swap donor. Took the hood and front fenders off. Battery and washer fluid tank out. Driver's door off. Rear seats out.

 

washed my car, twice. And it'll be dirty by tomorrow, again.

saw a badass sti down in timessquare though

 

i finished making and installed my UEL header v1 today. MMMmmmm rumbles sound so good.

 

Fixed the trunk release, installed sti shifter trim.

 

drove to work to pick up my bump slip;( looks like midnites here i come

 

installed the wrx muffler and decided not to try to jam the wrx resignator up under my car as well. welded the stock resignator to the larger muffler. its a lot deeper and a bit louder. LOVE IT! nice and rumbly!

 

I cleaned my garage for it and replaced the dash light bulb. The stupid thing fell out somewhere. No dash clock at night is annoying.

 

Drove to arbys just for somewhere to drive (and use my coupon). Drove to pick up a friend and take her where she needed to go. Spent most of my time driving sideways

 

Put the new number plates on it, so now it's fully legal here :banana: Let the modding begin :naughty:

Also took it for a little drive down the seafront to get my COTM entry, and a few other pics while I was at it :biggrin:

Huge snow storm today. They advised that nobody goes out driving. So what did I do??? I went out driving!!! Every single store/restaurant I saw was closed. Even Walmart!!! I was ticked cus I wanted to pick up a tow rope lol

 

Paid to have new exhaust studs put in, rather than the broken studs that were in the block. Anxiously awaiting the sound of a non-honda OBS for a change.
