What did you do to your subaru today?

installed my old 16g on Blakes car last night. Should be a monster. He had it Pnp'd and going to run with an external wastegate:yumyum:

I'd say 265whp, 270wtq on 91 oct

 

20 series medium. spoke to bob, he will have more next week to ship out

 

Yeah not really but lets just say it worked out for the better since I don't have that much of an income.

well one of them went to me!

 

Took it on a 115mile round trip to see a couple of stages of the rally.

 

I pull out my 3rd brake light, then decided I didn't like the gaping hole that it left so I put it back it. Then I replaced all the tubing for my gmbcs with red/orange sillycone.

 

Upgraded to an STI catback... oh wait. No I didn't.

'cause the stupid donut flange decided to break in half when we pulled the stock catback off, and nothing's open Sunday evening... that's what I get for starting my exhaust mods at 100k miles

 

Bought a set of wrx wheels for it and spent all day vacuuming it and gettin er clean.

 

vacuumed her as well, washed her and went cruisin with a bunch of my buddies around anoka

Took the STi out today for a rip around the block....Put new tabs on it.... Washed STi... Parked it again for a month or so.

LOLZ... i wish it was another STi. I bought a 98 OBS from Rallyposer! Really exctited to try some rallycross events this summer. Just the ones in the big fields.

 

what about the ones in a small field?

 

I want to come out and try some of those events.

Welded up a new magnaflow muffler! And added a wideband gauge

Drove my Rex to Maplewood with the brother and bought another impreza, a green 2.2L 95' legacy with 75K automatic. They were asking $2500, picked it up for my brother today for $2K :biggrin:

Swapped front swaybar on the GC last night...got to break both endlink bolts and bleed all over a heatshield in the process. Tonight...the back.

 

Got my $650 piece of plastic called a Hans Device, but I got a free hat so i don't feel so bad about the money:laugh:

Hmm... today I picked up new fuses for the stereo, as I blew my only 80Amp inline a couple days ago. So the Sub is now working again. I found mounting hardware so I can mount my Amp in the trunk so it doesnt always fly around.

Then I was working on partially disassembling the strut/knuckle on the brat to take some measurements. I broke the stupid compression collar bolt off in the knuckle, and a 3/8" extension. So now I can add drilling out a bolt to my list of things to do.

Then I drove through a big mud puddle. Pics to come tomorrow

Also I have been driving my car super slow and easy trying not to melt off my Nokians in this scorching heat. I want April to come FAST so I can be sure there wont be any more surprise snow storms and can put the summers on.

 

holy crap I must have been high, it's a Impreza 2.2 L My brother isn't familar with the impreza vs. the Legacy so he kept calling it both names and I guess I did it too.

 

Installed sti trunk springs, now my trunk doesn't slam down.

 

I got it muddy yesterday! I love the looks people give you on the highway!

 

Sweet... I didn't realize Subaru made aftermarket parts for trunks. I'll bet that gets all the ladies. :hsugh:

 

they aren't aftermarket since they came on an sti stock :biggrin:. sti has different trunk springs because the huge wing weighs a lot

I was thinking they were "STI Pinks" or something. :laugh:

 

You could paint them pink. I was thinking of painting them red or something but you don't really see them anyway.

and just got done vacuuming my car at work...

I changed oil filter, fuel filter, tranny oil, washed it and put goldies. lots of hours because I am slow and my tools suck. oh yeah, I also don't have a garage and didn't have a 21mm socket for the drain plug. But what was worse were the fuel filter lines. they really killed me, I used a hair dryer, hot water and finally I read a post that suggested to twist the filter instead of twisting the hoses.

 

Drove it a lot, wished I was at Stage 2. :hsugh:
