What did you do to your subaru today?

what are you planing on doing?

 

I'm thinking that blowing an 06wrx tranny/clutch is outa my budget, so I'm going back to stock, and starting on a low buck project.

andrew and i started on the underbody armor. 1/4" thick HDPE yo

 

^ are you doing the wheel wells too?

 

eventually. I have stock liners to install for now. i need to get some thinner HPDE to make the wheel liners. The 1/4" stuff does not bend lol

 

Got the Rota's on tonite.

I am jealous of the 17x9's though. DPT's? I was looking at something like that but the offset is not what I had in mind.

 

wrx td04 and tmic swap into my 91 t-leg. waiting on the flange for the bov. trying to get all the air lines and vacuum hose together.

Baked the driver side light to match the passenger side, now off to the store for paint and stuff. Next up put my HID's on!

thursday I installed my new springs and put the summer wheels on.

 

I just ordered the Magnaflow cat-back! :biggrin::biggrin:

 

Nate welded in a resonator. It is EXACTLY what I wanted. The rumble is definately still audible and the exceleration sound is just about the same but the drone at 60-70 is just about gone. Thank you Nate!!! The welds were beautiful.

Changed the oil. Doing the same on the GF's Forester later. Tore some more of the taxi's interior apart. About to go start disconnecting more stuff in the engine bay, getting ready to pull the motor.

 

My new wheels ...rota sdx time attacks 17x7.5 w/kumho ecsta spt shoes. Got the lugs in the mail today so I mounted 'em up.




I know it needs a drop. I've got STi springs, just waiting for the rest of the suspension parts to show up.

Should I paint the lips? Blue to match? Black? Leave em alone?

Put on the P7s and Falkens today. Forgot to take pictures. I will tomorrow.

bought front and rear pads for the wagon, am getting my rotors turned tomorrow, and throwing the new pads on then. Woot.

 

Installed an MSD ignition and boost gauge (thanks Flatline) in my Legacy. It purrs like a kitten at all rpms now and I can watch my measly 8 psi boost until I have time to install the electronice boost controller.

 

Ahh the OEM boost gauge. I have the same one, it is actually a very good little unit. The only issue is that the light in mine is very temper mental and goes on and off whenever it wants. I guess that is what happens when it has been bounced around for a couple years (might be an issue in the rally car).

 

hmmm... maybe I will go build a x-over pipe for my Forester today... got a couple of old ones I can use the flanges off of.... hmmmmm

 

Replaced fog lamp bulb and removed intake silencer (which was a little bit of a pain since I found that there was an extra nut behind the fog lamp that wasn't mentioned anywhere online). Now I need to go get some of those pesky plastic rivets replaced so everything is nice and tight again. Definitely liking the extra growl and hearing the BOV for the first time!

 

I put my summers (stockers) on today.

 

Yesterday, i pulled the transmission with the help of a friend, installed a new clutch and flywheel, and next week i will be installing a new transmission and Group N engine and transmission mounts.

 

this weekend, i replaced the pcv valve, changed the oil, replace the knock sensor, as well as wash and wax my car....=)

 

I need to change the oils soon. Also roll the rear fenders. Ugh, really didn't want to roll the fenders.

 

changed the oil with some good loe royal purp and gave her a bath

 

You have to roll the fenders with those new wheels? I thought they were only 7" or 7.5"?

 

Ordered one of these today.

 

Yeah, but the offset pushes them out a bit. I'm just being overly cautious. :biggrin:

where is the rez placed in the exhaust? my exhaust just has the catted dp and no rez 3" back and it drones bad just going down the highway at any speed... I sorta want it a lil quieter when I'm not on it...
