Only if I had the time and was not still farting around with the shocks n springs... I would get an alignment...

LED's are solid plastic and if a rock did perfectly hit one to break it, it would cost pennies to replace.

Today I learned that Tein coilovers do NOT last for 70k miles. I'm just very glad I learned this in the garage and not on the road.

I went to adjust the height, and as soon as I tried to loosen the lock ring on the front, it just crumbled. I checked the back and the lock ring was already missing and the main ring that holds the spring in place was corroded, cracked and deformed. I was one big bump away from breaking it.

Anyway, looks like tomorrow's project is swapping the stock suspension back in.

Went drifting thru the shop here @ Lexus.

Apparently muddy Z1s + a soaking wet tile floor equals very little traction.

I got the front two struts replaced tonight. Had to replace two wheels studs in the process. The bottom perches on the teins basically crumbled in my hands when I got them apart. Surprisingly though the tein struts themselves are still fine, good gas charge even. I'm dreading the rear struts, those bolts are a pain and judging from how tight the fronts were, it's gonna be bad...

Get yourself some new lateral link bolts before you start. Its worth the $21 each. I won't take take the rears off a 2 year old car without them. Two years ago, my mom's '03 Forester needed it...

I started on a true AC delete. Removed evaporator core, filled a couple holes and cut the piece to fill in the hole on the firewall, all hellaflush like.

Also, run away from those Teins. Actually, sprint....

Missed the Mayhem party to install new axle boot, change the oil, change filthy air filter (if haven't done so after the last RallyCross, do it NOW) and installed electronic boost controller. Now I have to work on setting it up.

Especially when it's hitting 19psi below 3000rpm, hitting 23psi by 3100rpm, and holding 23 psi for 2000rpm before slowly tapering to 19psi at redline... it is the little "16g" that could!

Went out for a drive to work on setting up new boost controller on the Legacy. Had the HAM radio on to make sure nobody called the cops (only allowed to do this in a car if you have a HAM radio license). I never used the same road twice just to be safe, WOT is bit noisy.

I was out on Monday "testing" as well and coworker said she heard me from her house over a mile away, but it didn't bother her. Sometimes living rural has its benefits :)
