Discovered just how much power the A/C takes away when it's running. Yuk. Considering underdrive pulleys...

Regreased and rebooted one rear axel and got the other removed. 215k miles makes working on the Tleg a pain in the but sometimes.

Took a drive for yet more tuning of the boost controller. Sure would be easier with a codriver. Drive, read boost map, adjust, watch out for police, drive, map, adjust, watch, repeat....

Stopped to watch a flock of wild turkeys in a farm field while I was out (kind of like rally cross, a field full of a bunch of turkeys :) ). Ah rural living...

for sure! I did some reading before hand and a lotta people were complaining about the 17mm on the underside of the starter. I didn't have much of a problem getting at that even with my 6'' wrench lol. Anyways, woot woot for not having to drive my moped around all the time anymore haha!

Got her stage 1 tuned by Bullwinkle last night! Wow, what a difference! I can do a good pull from 5th now! Nate was saying my engine was liking the boost. Will be starting a thread with the maps once I get them.

Swiped a curb the other day when I was pulling out of the bank. Will be getting it back tomorrow with it fixed. Wasn't to happy since it pushed in the body and destroyed the rocker panel. At least it's not the rear quarter. Will be changing oil and driving to CO then MO for a bit...

Finally finished the exhaust completely!! I found a tip I like, and welded it on. Its so much quieter inside the car, its kinda saddening. :( 4" resonated rolled-edge double wall tip. DE-frickin-LUXE.

    Thank you MTKA guys! <3

    Oh noes! Bummer.

Drove the wagon to an auction after work and kicked myself for not buying a '78 Datsun B210 gx that ran, moved under own power, had a good body and had one bidder, selling for $50!

I met with another LGT owner who I may swap catbacks with. My perrin is just too damn loud for me. His megan has the same 3" plumbing mid pipe and 2.5" after the Y pipe. And so much quieter.

Just wondering - whenever I see someone with really high K HIDs they usually say they got them for the "blue" and don't realize that the actual useable light output from 10k HIDs is not very good compared to something in the 4300 - 6000K range.

I also like the blue lights and have personally seen a loss in light on the road at night. Especially in the winter with the snow. IF Im driving on a road with street lights in the snow, I barely can see my headlights on the road. But I still have them...I agree not ricer. stickers, taking out your spare tire on your dd for weight reduction, any underglow, stock exhuast with 5" wal-mart tip, or the type-r racing seat covers-These are ricer

Don't worry, the first time you drive in the rain and it is just like you are driving WITHOUT headlights on, you will know exactly what everyone is talking about. In reality, your 10k hids are probably putting out less light than the factory bulbs. But hey, you will light up reflective signs like nobody's business.

But the number is higher! They've got to be better, right?

It's a ricer move. Nothing like paying money for worse than stock performance, which is one of the things that helps define a ricer in the first place.

Carl, the pod looks great! Like Boomer said, watch out for trees. I've heard the theory that the more expensive stuff you have hanging off the front of the car the higher the attraction to trees

If you get the chance to sit behind a set of factory HIDs, you'll notice that from inside the car, they're actually white with a hint of yellow. The reason they look blue when they're oncoming is you're catching the edge of the light spectrum when you're seeing them from the front. They may look blue, but they're about as close to natural sunlight as you can get from the inside.

I wasn't really being serious when I said that. Humour doesn't always carry well over the internet.

But yeah, 10,000K HiDs are pretty much cosmetic, and don't have the performance of the 4,300K ones.
