Got my 03 wrx tuned at RS today. 220whp/241wtq. I'm very happy with it so far. A nice improvement in power from the Cobb map and a lot smoother throughout the powerband.

Put the stock exhaust on...I like the quiet but it still needs some rubbles. Also spools a bit later now, ftl.

had a guy follow me a few blocks through downtown duluth today, when he finally got next to me at a stoplight, he asked me what kind of subaru it was. I told him it was an XT6, and he said it looked like a sweet car.

it gave me a warm, fuzzy feeling on the inside :)

^ This reminds me that yesterday I was at Morries BP and was looking around and I saw a really nice looking blue XT6 it was behind the building, I think it was there for service. It was a manual,I was surprized, those things have a huge shifter!

3rd gear went out on my tranny on the way home from work this morning!:banghead: So... anyone have any input for me? PPG 5spd or a 6spd swap??? I think the 5spd would be less green in the long run. Anyone know some one who's got one of the two that there looking to sell?

wasnt today, but i have had no 'net access for a few days.

timing belt and tensioners went out on my legacy turbo. so now it is sitting on jackstands in the garage with the front of the engine off.

spent a few hours trying to located my parasitic electrical drain, got it narrowed down to 1 wire (and the corresponding ground) on the instrument cluster. I need to test on another GD (hmm, should have used nmdaytime's when he was over) to see if it's actually a normal occurence - the current draw is very minimal (equates to only 1 or 2 watts) but I think my 5 year old battery was the real issue. swapped in a new battery, found the cables for the master shut-off were now about 4" too short...

dave went through the rest of the car (he actually washed some of it lol) and fixed our leaking hvac system - still isn't moving enough air out the defrost vents but it's an improvement.

also dropped off 8 rally wheels and 12 tires at CPD for graham to swap around so we actually have rubber for NT3.

Trailer bearings have fresh grease, suspension is lubed, truck is ready - should be good to go for next weekend! (of course we'll have some other issue pop up between now and then)

thanks dave and nick for your help today. thanks dan, dan, and dave for your help yesterday

    rotated my summer tires.....

also did the intake silencer delete...just cut off the major portion of it and blocked off the hole so i could put it back in and utilize the stock ram from the front......kind of a waste of time but at least i worked on it......

quite a lot. got back from the Crawl 4 the Cure last night. this morning I decided I needed to get the wagon finished so I could get the 4runner fixed. so I moved things around, took the wagon over to pick up an EZ30R shortblock from Brian (Thanks!).

then I started tearing into the EJ22e that came out of Pidde's kansas car so that it can go into my wagon. put a new timing belt, main seal, and water pump on it. got the timing covers cleaned up and put back on. just need a tstat and clutch, and then I can drop it in.

also, discovered either the best news ever found in the world of EA-series subie modding......or a typo in the parts book :ugh: . XT6 and legacy turbo clutch covers have the same part number: 30210AA100. more research is in order....

it was awesome. about $20k in donations alone. $2k at the silent auction. and 1200 raffle tickets for the CJ-5 at $10. we're hoping the official tally hits $35k. which is pretty impressive, IMHO.

and yea, excited for next weekend. did you get the shut-off wire extended? I've got a bunch more perma-seal connectors, so I could definitely do it (right ;)) friday when we get to dan's.

couple pictures of my progress today:

i beat on some bent up junkyard fenders i picked up to make them less bent and less dented so i can slap some fenders on my "new" 93 wagon while wait for some new ones to come in stock at a place that will ship them to fargo or i can take a trip down to the twin cities to pick them up.

using a deadblow hammer and a dolley was fun. i really suck at it and i am sure the small deadblow was the wrong tool for the job but it would be hard to make them look worse. and hell they were only 15 each.
